Volcano Inn Bed n Breakfast

Great location for visiting Volcanoes National Park, the grounds are pretty. Our room had nice views into the “forest” (surrounded by plants). All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean too. The shared lounge and breakfast area was a nice communal place to hang out with lots of tables inside and outside (but still protected from the weather).

Our room was right below another guest room and it was very loud anytime somebody above us was walking around. The room itself was a little tight and neither of us found the bed very comfortable. While they do serve banana bread, papaya bowls coffee & tea in the mornings, when most people hear “bed n breakfast” they are probably going to be expecting more than just that. Also of note: there is one mini fridge that is shared by all guests and you can’t drink the tap water (although the do provide a filtered water fill station in the main lounge).

Difficult to locate late night

Loved the quaint vibes and the breakfast. Rooms were extremely spacious and the price was perfect

If you a light sleeper, try to avoid the Crater room as it is directly under the kitchen (I think) and they are up preparing the amazing banana bread early. You can also hear the plumbing if you are downstairs which was annoying

It was close to the attractions we wanted to see.
