The hotel room service is good. Clean & Comfortable. The owner is very nice and supportive. Stay for nearly one week here, highly recommend it for your trip

The people working here are absolutely wonderful and very hospitable; no complaints there. That being said, I could not overlook the state of the room. The floors were VERY grimy, to the point that I was stepping on my luggage and towels to traverse the room. I brought my own disposable hotel slippers (they do not provide any), and after only 2 days, the bottom of the white slippers were already a dark grey colour. I stayed in the same room with a several day break in between, and the floors were in the same state when I came back, which meant that they did not clean the floors at all in between guests.
The entire bathroom floor gets all wet when you take a shower and it takes more than a day to dry, which is also unfortunately the perfect breeding ground for pests like silverfish, which I found a few of.
The location is also not particularly convenient; the closest metro station is Taksim, but the road to the hotel is not easy to traverse with big luggage (narrow sidewalks, uneven pavement, slopes). Bus stops are also quite far, so as a solo traveler that frequently relies on public transit, it wasn't the ideal place for me. The area itself is also a bit seedy at night - I didn't feel that much danger but some travelers (especially women) may feel uncomfortable.
There is no elevator, but the staff will help you carry your luggage up the stairs. The only issue was that upon checkout, there was no one at the front desk, so I had to risk my life getting my massive luggages down those narrow stairs lol
The room did get a bit chilly since it is the winter, but the small space heater in the room did very little to heat things up. Luckily, I'm alright with the cold, but some guests may find the room too chilly in the winter.
Overall, I would not recommend this place to other travelers. It's a shame, because the staff are wonderful people, but they really need to make massive improvements to their rooms.
