WATERFRONT!!! The River's Roost on The Patuxent River

Just spent 5 days at the River's Roost on the Patuxent River. The house was excellent; open kitchen and living area with great views of the river, well-stocked kitchen, BBQ grill as well as a Blackstone. Everything was clean and in working condition. Comfortable bed with great views of the water. Huge shower in the bathroom. Hosts were very responsive and the check-in was simple. There also is a huge dock for crabbing and fishing. We were there during a fierce storm and aside from a few small branches coming down, the house had no ill effects from the wind gusts and heavy rains. The area is also very nice and relaxing.

Everything was great definitely will go back

We LOVED our stay at The River's Roost; the hosts have thought of everything! The beds were very comfortable...view, location and amenities - all excellent! We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for an amateur boxing event and chose this rental specifically for its listed amenities, especially the “HOT TUB” in the title. Unfortunately, there is no actual hot tub—just a small, dirty jetted tub in the master bath. The host explained it’s a VRBO listing issue, but it still felt misleading. The location is great, and the hosts were friendly, However, the cleanliness of the home did not reflect the cleaning fee we were charged. There were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher from the previous guests. We don’t believe in cleaning up after others, we washed what we used by hand and left them on the drying rack. This place has potential with better cleaning staff and more accurate descriptions.
