About this house rental
Cove House is located in Southern Maryland, on Price Cove, convenient to the St. Mary's River, Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay. The property is rich with outdoor activities, as well as more than ample room for activities indoors; providing a perfect location for multi-family reunions, get-aways, vacations, and events.
An updated old farmhouse retains some of its original 1940s character with original hardwood floors.
The first floor contains a fully equipped kitchen, mud/laundry room with an additional refrigerator, 1/2 bath, formal dining room, open game room, spacious living room, two screened porches with comfortable seating, as well as a small deck off of the kitchen that includes an outdoor gas grill.
The second floor contains 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Bedroom 1 is a spacious master suite with king bed, and private porch overlooking the airstrip with a view to Price Cove. Bedroom 2 contains 2 queen beds, Roku TV, and reading nook. Bedroom 3 contains a queen bed with Roku TV, and a view to an inlet off of the St. Mary’s river. Bathroom 1, attached to both the master suite and bedroom 2, includes a walk in shower. Bathroom 2 is located near Bedroom 3, and includes a tub/shower combination. All rooms have views of the property as well as deer and other wildlife that frequently graze on the airstrip.
Outdoors provides acres of flat open grassy area. A private beach and boat ramp are located approximately 2000 feet from the house. A golf cart is provided, and a dirt drive running the length of the property provides easy access to the beach. The boat ramp serves small to medium size boats, and provides access to the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay. The beach area is supplemented with a pier, perfect for fishing and crabbing, as well as a fire pit and chairs for amazing camp fires under the stars. We have kayaks and stand up paddleboards available for your use to explore the vast waterfront, coves, and lagoons that surround the property. We maintain a porta-potty near the beach and boat ramp to minimize trips back and forth to the house.

What a great place. So quiet and secluded yet easily accessible to all we needed. We did not get to use the firepit at the river because it was windy. We did use the gas fire on the patio at the house. It was lovey sitting out there looking at stars.We cooked at the house and had everything we needed. We also went out to restaurants. Best of both worlds. We enjoyed the Air museum at Patuxent and the Maritime museum on Solomons Island. The Maritime museum is a gem. We also visited historic St Marys City - excellent and Pt Lookout Lighthouse.The house was very clean. We had all we needed. I loved the various rooms for gathering - the readers in one place and the talkers in another. We enjoyed watching the neighbors goats and all the wildlife from the screened porch. One evening when I was playing my mountain dulcimer on the porch we had 5 deer grazing. We also saw turkeys and lots of birds.This definitely goes on the return trip list.

Everything was great! The home and property were beautiful and the friendly feral kitties outside made our stay a million times better. The home is spacious and well-designed and the beach is stunning.

This lovely place was one of the best we’ve ever stayed at. Everything was well stocked. It was exactly as advertised, but better. It’s one of the most peaceful places we’ve found. Our dogs loved it, because they had so much space to roam and explore. We loved the beach. The host even laid a bonfire for us down there, so all we had to do is light it. So many places in the house, as well, to relax. Screened rooms balconies, etc. We enjoyed waking up in the morning to watch the deer in the field from our bed. We can’t wait to go back!!
