Speckled Owl Mountain Cabin

We rented this cabin during our wedding weekend stay on the mountain. I chose this cabin for its separate room that is downstairs from the bedroom for hair and makeup and other guests that would be coming to our cabin. You also have a great view of the valley from the upper deck and lower patio. It is not directly near the other cabins and lodge however its not too far and is definitely private. We also rented a golf cart for further ease of going to the our Pavilion venue and family cabins around the area. Would definitely love to stay again.

Spent two nights for our wedding anniversary. Chose this location to go hiking. Great location. Plenty of space and super cozy. Totally private area. You could walk around naked outside and no one would know. Great view of the sun rising from the upstairs porch. Easy access to everything. Fully furnished with all the cookware and dishware you’ll need. Bed and linens were great. Hot tub was nice, not sure if the water was conditioned right but we used it both nights and no issues. House was 97 percent clean. Found crumbs under the couch cushions and there were a lot of cobwebs, but we felt comfortable and settled in quickly!

we overall enjoyed our stay, it was a nice place to getaway from the busy day to day life. the space is quiet, very private. beautiful views

Overall we enjoyed our stay. We actually stayed at another cabin 12 years ago for our honeymoon. We were slightly disappointed by the cleanliness of the cabin. We understand it has vaulted ceilings, but there were VERY large spiderwebs on the ceiling. There were also several stains on the futon upstairs. The hot tub was also disappointing. We did not end up using it because it had a very strong chlorine smell and was murky/dirty looking. It had been a main reason for us choosing one of the Lydia Mountain cabins. We did try and call the main number several times during our stay with no answer. We do love the location and quiet!
