About this house rental
Up to 12 of your friends & family will enjoy a relaxing visit on the shores of Lake LBJ in our lake house, the adjacent garage apartment and the spacious decks. Direct access to the water and scenic views of the lake await, one hour from many west Austin locations.

Grandmas lake house is being slowly updated every few months... For now you get a great place to stay at much lower prices than many of our neighbors. It is available for families and groups of friends to enjoy all that Lake LBJ has to offer - beautiful views, relaxing breezes, swimming in the cool water, and evenings under the stars.
The main lake house has four bedrooms each with a queen bed, two full bathrooms, a spacious kitchen and dining room, and a large living room for hanging out together when you need a break from the outdoors. Like the other homes on the lake in our neighborhood, our water comes from a well so we provide a reverse osmosis water system in the kitchen to improve the taste.
The garage studio apartment includes a queen bed and two twin beds and a full bathroom with shower. The studio is fronted with a small porch for enjoying the outdoors.
Two large decks are included - one deck attached to the lake house looking over the backyard and lake, and the other on top of two lakeside boat slips and dock that is great for jumping in the water and cooling off!
The boat slips are available for your use - please notify us if you wish to use them - we need to provide additional information for their operation. One is set up for a personal watercraft (e.g., seadoos and jet skis) and the other can accommodate "v" hulled boats up to 20 feet long and approximately 7.5 feet wide.

What a deal! Charming house right on the water in a small, low-key subdivision with a country feel. The gathering area in the house is very roomy and and larger than it appears in the pics. House and guest house stayed cool and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked and even has 2 ovens; we used them both. Lots of boats and jet skis to watch. We fished (caught some perch and a couple of small catfish), swam, paddle boarded and rented some jet skis to go cruising. The yard is lovely and the back porch is fabulous. The kids were disappointed that there wasn't a gate on the top deck to accommodate jumping from the top deck into the lake, but the game room with the ping pong table and air hockey made up for it. The hosts were nice, very helpful and easy to communicate with. We will book again

The house was great and it was as . So grateful to find a dog friendly affordable place. If you’re wanting to float on the water or learn to paddleboard, you should know it’s a high traffic area for jet skis, and boats going at high speeds. We followed all the rules, especially the quiet ordinance by 10 PM, but neighbors never did. This is not the property owner’s fault and you can’t pick your neighbors if there’s big parties and barking dogs. I guess it just comes with bad luck did they party till the middle of the night. The house itself was a great location and easy to get to.
