About this apartment rental
Apartment with 2 large bedrooms with double beds, fully equipped kitchen (microwave, kettle, toaster, gas cooker, electric oven, washing machine, iron and ironing board), long rear balcony. Bathroom completely renovated in November 2023, with large shower. Living room with flat screen TV. Balcony at the front, brand new heat-tight windows throughout the apartment, AC inverter in the rooms + central heating. Free WI-FI semi-Fibra. 2US floor (Italian 1) with elevator ----------------- The apartment is located a few minutes from the center, easily reachable on foot in 15 minutes or by tram, in a quiet neighborhood inhabited mainly by Florentine families, very well served by public transport (tramway T1 STATUTO stop, ticket 1.70/90min to be stamped on board). The Fortezza and Palazzo dei Congressi exhibition areas can be reached on foot in a few minutes. Parking on the street or in the Fortezza-Fiera garage (20 euros per day) ---- Check-in is done in the presence of someone from my family or someone I trust. You will be asked to sign a rental contract for the stay and to pay the tourist tax of the Municipality of Florence (6,00 per person over 12yo, max 7 days), which we must collect.
Free parking in the street (only blu lines for not resident, you can pay at the parkmeter in the street) or at Parking Fortezza-Fiera (20euro/24h).

Ahead of our visit, our host showed great communication, and even provided detailed transport information to get from the airport all the way to her home.
We were also invited to access the property earlier than advertised by our host (due to extremely hot weather and us arriving on an early flight), and given a great overview of the sites to see on our short trip. Great advice was provided on areas to avoid too (not that there are many).
The property is a nice size, with air con in each of the large bedrooms, a decent shower and toilet room, and a fully featured kitchen with balconies on both sides of the apartment. The apartment was presented to us in a good clean state, with plenty of utensils for cooking and cleaning, and even extras such as proper coffee and such.
The property is located in a pleasant and quiet street, and is a short walk to the local tram stop at the end of the street. Make sure to visit the local Gelateria across from the tram stop - easily the best we had, and we had a lot over the week!
The tram had us in the city center within a few minutes and no more than a 15-20 min walk to most of the locations we visited, both cultural and gastronomic.
All in we couldn't have asked for more from our host, her property, and Fiorenza / Florence in general - what a great welcome, a superb hub to holiday from, and a lovely experience for my daughter and I over the week.

The owner of this apartment was so helpful. She was very through in the information she gave us on the neighborhood and how to get around. The apartment was very clean and well stocked for what we needed. The locations was perfect for reaching attractions. The tram stop was just a short walk to reach. Antonella even helped us book some additional days at a different apartment so we could come enjoy Florence sooner than scheduled. Five stars across the board.
