About this cabin rental
Located on the corner of Elderberry and Blue Jay, this cute, cozy cabin is easy to find and perfect for a quiet get away or fun family vacation. Walking distance from the town center (1/4 mile) and the lake (1/2 mile), this cabin is ideal for a winter weekend or warm summer stay. 30 minutes to China Peak Ski and Mountain Bike Resort, this location is a hop, ski and jump away from any adventure.
When you rent our cabin, you will have the entire cabin during your stay. I'll send you a personalized key code one week before check-in. Access is that easy :) The cabin is for families and friend getaways only, no parties. We are the owners, not a rental agency. We have neighbors who live next to our cabin year round and we want to respect that.

Walking distance to Dorabelle Cove and town! The main cabin is a beautiful 3 bedroom/2 bath A-frame cabin. Inside you will find an open concept floor plan with soaring wood ceilings and a wall of windows that brings the outside in. The living room features a rock wall fireplace to keep you warm on those chilly winter evenings. Outside you will find an abundance of deck space for summertime entertaining.
There is also plenty of flat paved parking for your cars and boats.
Pet friendly options are available for an additional fee. Please send a request to discuss. And while we love our pets, we prefer they are snuggled up in their own pet bed versus on the couch or beds! (BYOPB)
Our property includes a shared hot tub for use by renters from both Elderberry Cabin and Blue Jay Cabin. You can soak in the relaxing waters and make your getaway even more special.
As it is a shared amenity, we encourage guests to communicate with each other once they arrive to coordinate usage and ensure everyone can enjoy the hot tub. It’s a great idea to discuss your schedules and plan a time that works for all.
If you rent both cabins, the hot tub is all yours to enjoy!
Linens
We DO provide clean linens Towels.
We DO provide clean bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths.
Toiletries - We DO provide shampoo, conditioner, and soap for each bathroom.
We are pet friendly and we are happy to welcome your well house- and furniture-trained pups! We do ask that you clean up after them inside and out. There is a non-refundable pet fee of $150 per stay and that covers up to two dogs. You will want to add this at the time of booking.
It's our favorite place & we are excited to share it with you! If you have a large party, multiple families, family reunion, wedding...secure multiple cabins to be close to your friends and family! Message me for details.
As part of our effort to help you relax and enjoy your stay, we have partnered with Safely to provide you with the below protection. The cost of this protection has been included in your rental rate and fees and covers you for accidental damages during your stay. The Trust and Safety Fee includes up to $3,000 of coverage for accidental contents damage and up to $500,000 coverage for accidental property damage and bodily injury. Complete terms regarding the Trust and Safety coverage will be included in your welcome message. The Trust and Safety Fee is refundable only if the reservation is canceled in writing at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the arrival date.
Things to bring: Warm clothes. The evenings can get cool even in the summer. Sun screen, paper plates, napkins. We have plenty of dishes, but it is nice to have paper plates as an option for picnics or should you not feel like cleaning up the kitchen:)

Our stay at the Blue Jay A-frame was everything we hoped for and more. The home is ideally situated in the East Village, offering easy access to local hotspots and the lake while being nestled in a peaceful neighborhood with level streets perfect for family walks. The house itself is a gem; the massive windows make you feel completely immersed in the beautiful mountain scenery. The outdoor space is thoughtfully designed, providing numerous spots to relax and enjoy the fresh air—whether you're sipping coffee on the deck, playing cornhole, or gathering around the fire pit at night. To top it all off, Jamie is an exceptional host whose hospitality truly made the experience complete. It's a perfect combination of a beautiful home, a great location, and a wonderful host.

We were lucky enough to be in Shaver at the Blue Jay Cabin during a spring snowstorm. We enjoyed the view from the open living room,...pine trees, snow, and later bright blue skies. The cabin is centrally located, clean, and comfortable. We would stay again.

Great location and clean. Accommodated six adults comfortably. Lots of firewood available and the hot tub was a great addition. (Note the hot tub is not covered and located at the back of the property.)

Best vacation rental for all! The trip started off amazing as we were greeted by a beautiful A-frame with Christmas lights and all the holiday cheer inside. A nice bottle of wine was waiting upon arrival. Every appliance and necessity from home was provided unexpectedly. The owners truly thought of everyone from the adults, kids and dogs . After a long day of snowboarding it was nice to come back to a nice clean and ready home. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and will definitely be back in the future. If you are looking for the perfect family getaway with your family this is the perfect getaway.
