Cozy, high quality accomodation in pleasant Bristol suburb.

Location was perfect for where I needed to be. Host was welcoming and accomodating with timings for arrival. Room was comfortable and quiet, bed was lovely. The photo on the website didn't do the room justice.

I would have liked facilities to make breakfast - but this wasn't in the property listing so thats all fair enough. There was nice coffee machine and fruit juice which was a nice touch.

Very pleasant and comfy room for an overnight stay in good location.

The room was very comfortable and the en-suite was excellent, both were very clean. The tea/coffee making good and the juice was welcome. Location pleasant and very quiet, easy parking and close to bus routes into the City centre. Host Clare was very welcoming and friendly.

A shower cap would have been helpful given the fixed shower head.

Comfortable stay. Good facilities.

Off road parking. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Modern en-suite with rain shower. Proximity to the function we were attending. Tea and coffee making facilities, even a tiny fridge for milk.

Lovely accommodation with great hosts who made my stay perfect after a long days work....many thanks

The hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming people who couldn't do enough to make the my stay as comfortable as possible The facilities were spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable with possibly the softest pillows i've slept on in a long while (much better than in any hotel i've stayed in for some time)

Parking of a larger vehicle is a little tricky but not impossible and to be honest there is absolutely nothing the hosts could do about that anyway so certainly not a deterrent for a return visit that's for sure

The room was very comfortable and well appointed. Clare and Tomas were excellent hosts and very accommodating in response to my special request which made my visit to Bristol much better, thank you. Great coffee machine too!

Exactly what we were looking for.

Clare and Tomas gave us a warm welcome upon arrival and made the check-in experience feel genuinely hospitable. They also provided a helpful information sheet in the room with recommendations for local restaurants, breakfast cafés, and other useful tips. The room and en-suite bathroom were spotless and very comfortable and coffee, tea, milk, and juice were provided. Although the property is located in a more residential area, there are shops, cafés, and restaurants just a 5-minute walk away, and a nearby bus stop offers easy access to Bristol town centre.

A home away from home! Spotless room, all the facilities and toiletries you could need, super attentive owners - juice & coffee in the morning were wonderful. I felt so safe and cosy, everything was perfect. I’ve already booked my next stay! Thank you so much Clare & Tomas (and Fudge) 😊

Beautiful room in a delightful house, a perfect place for a weekend in Bristol!

Downs Cottage is a beautiful place to stay for a trip to Bristol. Clare and Tomas were excellent hosts, and the room was spotless, comfortable and ideally located just north of the City. It was a quick bus ride into town. The bathroom was well appointed and the lovely touch of fresh milk in the mini-fridge made the difference when it came to the morning tea. There was also some orange juice. It's a lovely place and I have no hesitation in recommending it to everyone. - Plus - Fudge is a delight!

Once tiny issue - which I'm afraid is usually the issue of most of my reviews - the pillows were less than optimal; tired, lumpy, flat. New plump pillows would raise my review up to a 10. But that's a tiny thing compared to all the awesome positives about this lovely stay, and I am a pillow perfectionist - I'm still searching for that perfect pillow.
