Great pub , good location, room spacious and very private

Large comfortable room , good location , shower lovely and warm and powerful, bed really big and plenty of room , good pub with good food menu

Stairs leading up to room were a bit untidy and run down, kettle lid broken , few stains on carpet which were off putting

The staff were amazing, friendly and professional. The inn was so cosy and nice. Bedroom was big and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Lovely location

It was a lovely location and the staff was very friendly.

It was an uncomfortably hot and humid day, and to my dismay, the bathroom heater was on full power. Despite my attempts, I couldn't turn it off. This made the bedroom excessively hot, leading to a uncomfortable stay.

Lovely stay in comfortable accomodation in a pleasant part of Clifton/Bristol.

Excellent location - ensuite bathroom. Comfortable room.

Breakfast could perhaps have been a little bit better. There was a do-it-yourself breakfast bar but I seem to remember there was no toast or toaster. Door was a little bit clunky and instructions about what to do with one's key before leaving were vague.

amazing staff at the tavern. Lovely food. I ended up seeing an amazing play at the Tavern. The bathroom was very good. the bed was very comfortable.

It was really cold particularly in the morning. The room smelled like someone has smoked there before. They charged me a deposit which I have never encountered before. It was a little frustrating and yet another step before you get in. The staff in the tavern were amazing. So friendly and nice and I managed to get a ticket for the play in the theatre in the Tavern which saved the experience for me.

I liked everything. Extremely comfortable bed in a quiet, lovely and large en suite room. Exceptionally clean. Great location, bar, food, good band playing on Sunday evening. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Nice place, too many messages!

Convenience for Clifton Village. Friendly staff. Decent facilities. Good pub - I was worried about noise but it wasn't an issue.

The booking system was horrendous - easily booked but I needed 4 rooms which had to be done individually and I must have received more than 10 messages from Hopewell and Booking.com for each room so received in quadruplicate!!! My messages and inbox were inundated with Alma Taverns!

Affordable spacious rooms with little charm and poor maintenance

Part of a pub and theatre in a pleasant location close to the theatre school. Spacious room. Tea, coffee, water and cereal provided.

Entry through dirty and cluttered service entrance and dingy stairs. Stained carpets and broken window shades.

Very noisy fan/generator outside. Avoid if you want to get a good nights sleep.

Good location

unfortunately there was a very noisy fan/generator which kept me awake all night, I thought it would be turned off when the pub closed but it went on all night even with windows closed impossible to sleep. I have messaged the property direct 3 times now to discuss if it was a one off and had just been forgotten to be turned off as I would have liked to stay in the future, but no reply from the property hence reverting to this review which is disappointing.

The room was lovely, spacious, clean and stylish. Comfy bed.

I was quite worried on arrival at realising the room was above a pub. The stairs leading to the rooms were uncarpeted and gave a poor first impression. but I was very pleasantly surprised on entry to the room, which was stylish, spacious and clean.

Quiet area within easy reach of lots of attractions. The pantry area was great for providing chilled water during the heatwave!
