Townhouse in trendy suburb of Hoole

Very nicely put together accomodation. A very comfortable stay ...loved Hoole. The owners are very considerate ...result ...happy guests. Shopping in the area is excellent...fresh fruit veg eggs butter ...meat...fish...in Hoole main shopping street... gorgeous bread and breakfast treats from the bakery near the accomodation ... the supermarket for a few other bits and pieces...and the fabulous Sticky Walnut restaurant when you arrive early to enjoy lunch before check-in. Everything surprisingly good.

Just a warning about staying in Hoole ...because it is fabulous but you should know the bus service is awful...and confusing...buses that come into the bus station on one number but go out on another...bus stops that cannot be accessed on foot ...five or six different routes scattered throughout the hour from the same bus stop without giving each bus № its own timetable... so you really have to research, process, retain and recall info if you are ever going to get on the correct bus...if it comes at all...a huge and confusing bus 'exchange' with a useful bus in 2 minutes going from a bay on one side and the next going from a bay on the other side in 11minutes etc and the №9 nowhere in evidence except it was a 7 and then became a 9 upon departure, Aaaaagh!! So get a taxi should you see one...not that expensive....or walk. I am still on crutches from an accident...otherwise we would not have bothered with the buses. After saying all that...and one needs the truth ...I would add...stay in Hoole!! It's great...it's special.

Lovely little house and base for myself and two daughters to explore Chester. Comfortable and tastefully decorated. Close to shops, cafes and short walk to Chester Railway station.

Uneven floor/steps on the first floor landing at top of the stairs. Slightly concerned about risk of children falling down the quite steep staircase. Few visible cobwebs in corners.

Absolutely stunning home. Clean, comfortable and a great location.
