The Lodge at Horton Hall Retreat

Well equipped with everything we needed,v clean and tidy.

Constantly disturbed at night by noised which sounded like water being pumped through pipes!

Nice lodge in the peace and quiet of the countryside. Lovely to be able to sit out on the veranda in the sunshine during the day. Very comfortable beds and good access for those with limited mobility due to the level, step free set up. Not too far to reach nearby attractions and great access to walking routes from the lodge. Kitchen very well equipped, but a couple more multi use chopping boards and a smaller measuring jug would have made it perfect.

The sofa wasn't the most comfortable for lounging on (2 chairs were fine). It would have been useful to have a small plastic stool in the wet room to assist showering of those less steady on their feet.

Nice location, clean and tidy, private safe garden for our dog.

The host decided to come and trim the hedges whilst we were trying to enjoy the garden and when we messaged through booking.com and the mobile number provided they said they'd ask them to stop. We then had a guy come into the garden and tell us 'you should have just asked me to stop' - maybe they should have thought about guests staying on a sunny weekend and wanting to sit out in the garden which we'd also mentioned when booking.
