The property suffered from a general lack of maintenance and cleanliness that significantly impacted our stay. There were broken tiles in showers near drains creating a trip/safety hazard. None of the showers had barriers or shower curtains causing the bathrooms to flood with each use & porous Saltillo flooring took hours to dry. The refrigerator was iced over upon arrival and required our continual management to keep our groceries fresh. Many lights and lamps were not working. We purchased replacement bulbs & installed but the issues remained unresolved. Additionally, most outlets did not work with universal converters. Cleanliness was a concern. The guest comforter was stained and primary bed vanity stool also stained. We bought sanitizers to re-clean kitchen and bath b/4 use. Property was lacking stock, providing 1 towel and 1 pillow per person for an eight-day stay, with no extras available. Trash and recycling management was extremely difficult for a 10-person group. Larger, clearly labeled bins and recycling instructions are needed. We were expected to manage all waste ourselves, and the groundskeeper never offered assistance. Communication & management were among the most frustrating aspects of our stay. We received confirmation that the property would be ready for our early arrival, but upon arrival we learned it was not ready. The designated meeting point was 30 minutes from the house, and the address provided was incorrect. After waiting for a representative, we were informed that access would not be available until later that day. No one communicated this change in advance, resulting in approximately 1.5 hours of wasted time. Throughout the stay, management was difficult to reach and unhelpful when additional accommodations or recommendations were requested. A starter kit with toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning spray, dishwasher pods, and trash bags would greatly improve the guest experience.
