COSTA SMERALDA BEAUTIFUL VILLA WITH POOL 150 MT FROM THE SEA SURROUNDED BY GREENERY

All in all very happy.

We had a very good time at the villa which is in kept in excellent condition and is in beautiful surroundings. Two beaches in walking distance - although the nicer one is a hilly walk and in the heat we were lazy and took the car (there is pay parking and a nice cafe / restaurant there). The villa makes a good base for travelling out to visit other places but it was also easy to be lazy and stay by the pool, which was perfect for us. One small word of warning which is that the WiFi is not unlimited. It would be fine for most people but we had a data hungry teenager with us and needed to pay to top up. Anyway we got that sorted ok (with some help) and in general everyone was wonderfully friendly and helpful - many thanks to Antonella and Giovanna for making our stay so trouble free.

We enjoyed an excellent week's holiday at this well appointed villa which has extensive grounds and wide ranging views of the sea and surrounding hills. The coastline nearby has dozens of sandy bays and coves to explore but the peace and facilities at Ilaria can make it tempting to just stay in and around the villa. Our only regret was the staggeringly high drinks prices at the luxury hotel just yards away which ensured we visited other restaurants in Cannigione and towards Baia Sardinia rather than return. Villa Ilaria is a fantastic villa, situated in a very calm area, close to the sea and beaches, and with a lovely pool area. We were 6 people staying for 11 nights in July. The house was clean and very well-maintained. There are three very nice bedrooms, all three with their own bathroom and air condition. From all three bedrooms you can enter different terrasses. The kitchen is not so big, but has all that you need. Unfortunately the dishwasher was not functional in the period we were there, but is said to be fixed. The dining- and livingroom is very big with a very nice atmosphere. There are big windows through which you can adore the beautiful green garden. There is also aircondition in these rooms. The pool area is a fantastic place for children, and there you feel completely away from everything, with green vegetation on all sides. From the roof top terrasse, you have a beautiful view over the bay and most of the local area. You can park your car inside the property. The garden is very well kept, and has an amazing system of automatic irrigation. The people helping to clean the house and keep the garden and pool, are very nice, helpful and friendly. We felt very safe in the house. There are two local beaches very close to the house. The closest is just past the Hotel Ea Bianca, and only takes a few minutes walk. The other is at Cala Ginepri, and takes about 10 minutes to walk or 2-3 minutes to drive. Here the road is rather steep, but the view is very beautiful. We often went to buy food at the local supermarket at Baia Sardinia, just a 5-6 min. drive from the house, and often had a swim at the nice beach at Baia Sardinia and afterwards a lovely Italian ice-cream. The owner of the house, Antonella, and her daughter, Ilaria, were very helpful with all our questions. Ilaria speaks a perfect english. The villa is really nice, with all that you need, with a nice pool, very effective air condition (for some of the warm nights) and plenty of bathrooms. Everything is of a very high quality. I would recommend the house to friends and family.
