Medieval cottage in rural village - Duke's Lodge

The cottage was full of character and very cosy, especially with the log burner. The small private garden was a lovely spot for coffee. It was nice to have milk and a few extra goodies on arrival - thank you. The location was very convenient, in the middle of the village, near to the pub and shop, also a nice walk from the door up to the church and then across fields to Monks Eleigh. Also very handy to visit Lavenham and the area around Hadleigh.

There was nothing we disliked. I would say though that the uneven floors upstairs may be an issue for those with mobility issues

Could have been more information about operating heating and bathroom radiator. Also more logs than for just one fire would have been good. Also it would have been interesting to know more about the history of the house and village.

We hebben enorm genoten van de middeleeuwse cottage, heel bijzonder om in zo'n huis te kunnen verblijven. En misschien was het gezien de leeftijd van de cottage niet helemaal te verwachten (er was weinig recht in het huis ;)), toch het was het er erg aangenaam toeven. En het was een cadeautje dat we heerlijk in de tuin konden zitten (we hadden ook nog eens prachtig weer)!
