Disappointing Stay Despite High Expectations

The property is indeed clean, spacious, and stylishly renovated, these are minimum expectations and aline with the listing we agree with the other reviews about this property being modern clean new air con lovely flooring. It is close to a supermarket and restaurants and coffee shops

Unfortunately, our experience fell short on multiple levels, and we feel other travelers should know what to expect. Location Concerns: The property’s central location near the port and transport links is good, but the immediate surroundings felt unsavoury and unsafe, especially at night. As two female travelers, we were unsettled after accidentally wandering into an alley just yards from the property frequented by prostitutes during the day. The area had a noticeable presence of unsavoury individuals, and one night we were disturbed by a loud fight involving two men attacking each other with a weapon and dogs barking in the street below, which felt unsafe and disruptive. Travellers should be aware this location may not be suitable for lone female travellers families with children or anyone returning to the property late at night. I want to emphasise we have stayed in Genoa before and this is not indicative of the whole area just the area around this particular apartment perhaps due to its closeness to the port area. Lack of Warmth and Amenities: Unlike previous Italian stays where hosts welcomed us with thoughtful touches, this property felt cold and impersonal. Managed by an agency, there was no greeting or contact from the host upon arrival or during our stay. The apartment was bare, lacking any local information, restaurant recommendations, or basic welcoming gestures like a bottle of water. The kitchen had only the bare essentials—no coffee machine, toaster, or extras like milk, or biscuits for our arrival this is what I've personally experienced in other properties often left by hosts as a welcome gesture. Only one tea towel was provided for the entire stay, which was insufficient. Subpar Linens and Furnishings: The towels were rough, thin, bleach-stained, had holes and mismatched—more suited for cleaning than personal use. We received just two hand towels and two small bath towels each for five days, inadequate for the price.

Beautiful, comfortable apartment but parking difficult.

The apartment was excellent, very comfortable, spacious and clean and seemed brand new. The instructions were clear and posted on entrance wall

The main problem was the parking. The apartment is on small piazza where not only you cannot park but very difficult to leave car temporarily to unload suitcases. When we left, a truck was parked and there was no room to manoeuvre. Also, we were supposed to get a reduction for the pay parking but the procedure was not clear and we paid the full amount. We paid 80€ parking for 2 days.

This place is faultless. Communication from the host is brilliant. Instructions for entry/arrival were given promptly and very easy to follow. You cannot beat the location, being smack bang in the centre of the medieval port. The apartment was spotless, with a modern kitchen, comfortable bedding, spacious bathrooms and fantastic air conditioning throughout. You could not find a better place to stay.

Really enjoyed our time - genoa is a great home base for excursions too. Check the port for ferries schedule and itinera

Newly renovated - proximate to everything. Very responsive hosts (be prepared that all communication was via whats-app).

No fault of the owners but had not realized I needed to specify the sleeping arrangements I wanted (my kids could not share a bed and they had not set up the pull-out couch). I would just advise checking in about your expectations.

Amazing apartment in a perfect location. The amenities were great and the apartment was central to everything. Communication with the host was brilliant, would definitely recommend.

Would have been good had the bed not colapsed in the middle of the night.

It had a microwave and also a couch in the kitchen area.

The bed frames were of the cheapest quality, not even up to Ikea standards. The edges were extremely sharp and would cut you getting in and out of the bed. Turns out they had plastic legs on both of them and one leg folded over in the middle of the night. (plastic leg?) I went out and bought two buckets the exact right height to prop it up for the rest of our stay. The landlord wouldn't and still hasn't paid me back the 10 euros I paid so we could continue to stay there for the next two nights.

Дуже зручне розташування- близько до всіх памʼяток , до площі Феррарі приблизно 5-7хвилин. Поруч з апартаментами є невеличкий продуктовий магазин, де можна купити продукти за відносно нормальними цінами. Апартаменти дуже зручні, 2ванні кімнати, красивий вид з вікна однієї зі спалень і кухні. Паркомісця біля будинку немає, але до підʼїзду можна підʼїхати на машині, щоб вийняти речі( ми паркувались на паркінгу біля акваріуму за 5хвилин від дому). Дякуємо хазяйці за прекрасні апартаменти!

Apartamento excelente, mas não para cadeirante.

Localização excelente. Apartamento ótimo, espaçoso e perto dos principais pontos turísticos. Dá pra ir a pé.

Sou cadeirante e não foi possível tomar banho nas duas diárias que fiquei hospedada, pois nos boxes dos dois banheiros não cabia uma cadeira de rodas. Elevador pequeno para pessoa com deficiência. Mas para quem não é cadeirante o apartamento é ótimo.
