About this house rental
The Cherokee Trail Estate offers a private & spacious retreat ideal for big groups. The home boasts open common areas, cozy bedrooms each with smart TVs, & a bathroom on every corner! The basement offers 3 massive smart TVs, a pool table, and a bar/lounge perfect for entertaining. Step outside into paradise to grill out on the huge deck & enjoy the many amenities we have to offer. - No pets allowed.
-Fireplace is not for guest use.
- No parties or events of any sort.
- - STRICT NO SMOKING INDOORS POLICY; violators will be subject to additional fees to cover additional cleaning, fumigation costs, and repairs for damages. This amount could exceed $1,000 based on prior smoke-related situations.
- Quiet hours begin at 9:00 PM and extend until 8:00 AM
- Being respectful to neighbors is a top priority and guests will be required to limit music & noise when/if complaints are received.
- Swim at your own risk.
- All outdoor amenities including the grill, fire pit, basketball goal, corn hole, ladder ball, etc. are expected to be left in the condition they were in upon guest arrival. The grill specifically must be cleaned after each use. Cleaning supplies are provided.
- Only the specified number of guests on the reservation can stay overnight.
- Please note that the weekly pool cleaning occurs on Monday or Tuesday mornings typically around 8:00 AM. The service company will only need access to the basement pool pump room which can be accessed directly from the pool area. Access to the main areas of the home will not be necessary.
- Trash is picked up weekly on Tuesday mornings. Guests who are currently staying will be asked to ensure the outdoor trash cans are accessible and not blocked by vehicles. The trash company will pull down the driveway in front of the garage to pickup trash cans so long as they are not blocked by vehicles. Due to the inconsistency of when reservations will be & the trash pickup schedule, there could be trash in the outdoor trash cans from the prior guest.
- Please note that this home is the woods and near the lake. Naturally, that will entail the presence of some bugs around the exterior of the home. We have a pest control service and do our best to keep everything under control. Please notify us of any concerns immediately.
- There is NO direct access to the lake from the rental property. Guests are not permitted to walk through the woods to the lake as they would be crossing into neighboring properties. DO NOT approach neighboring homeowners for access to the lake.
- Please do not throw rocks or other items into the front fountain. Guests will be fined for items found in the fountain following your stay.
-Pool is not heated.
-For Airbnb bookings, the Airbnb Guest Service Fee is now rolled into the daily price instead of being broken out separately. This is due to recent Airbnb policy changes.
-For VRBO bookings, guests will not receive full reimbursement for cancellations as stripe payment fee is non refundable.

The house was as expected. Very clean with plenty of room for 12 family members. A few things: 1. We would have preferred a telephone number to either text or call in case of an emergency. Cody was very responsive but I didn't always get the email in timely manor because I don't check email very much when on vacation.2. There needs to be a book with written instructions for how to use TV's and what light switches controlled which lights. Some switches didnt do anything. Also the ceiling fans were great but they were only on / off and no control of speed.3. There could have been more bath towels.Abive are very minor.Overall a great place!

The house was great and large and you for everyone. The kitchen supplies were lacking, no crockpot, this skillets or scratched up for cooking breakfast, and we didn't want Teflon shavings in the food. No toaster but there was a toaster oven. No storage containers like Rubbermaid to store leftover food. The pool was overflowing past the skimmers so there was a lot of debris. Instead of waiting 3 days for the pool cleaner to arrive, we used a pool noodle to eject water from the pool return and decrease the level so at least the skimmer would work properly. And the icemaker downstairs never worked it just showed that it needed to be cleaned and filter changed. The house was lovely but there were definitely some issues.
