Doca do Cavacas I by An Island Apart

The appartement was very spacious, maybe too spacious. Sometimes we lost ourselves in between the rooms. :-) The facilty is well equipped, in fact there is everything you need for a one week (or longer) stay. Parking is very correct, as you may leave the car in an underground garage. Not farer than 100 m you may find a smaller shopping center with foods, beverages, fruits, fresh bakeries. There are more restaurants within a couple of 100 meters maximum, two of them are in the center. Check in was easy, personal meeting managed by telephone after landing, check out easier, as you may leave the keys in the room simply.

Both the beds were uncomfortable. The mattress of the wider one was sagging, the other bed was narrow, suitable for 1.5 people, not for two ones...

Loved the location with the sea view and the beautiful sunsets. Very peaceful at night. Traffic free walks along the coast going east and west from the apartment. Large balcony..

Balcony furniture has seen better days and needs replacing.

Sehr grosses, modern eingerichtetes Appartment in einem Vorort von Funchal direkt an der Promenade am Meer (Altstadt unkompliziert mit dem Bus zu erreichen, der fast direkt vor der Tür abfährt). Der Stellplatz in der Tiefgarage ist auch sehr praktisch, da es nicht viele Parkplätze auf der Straße gibt. Der Balkon mit Blick aufs Meer ist riesig. Trotz der zentralen Lage war es sehr ruhig. Die Betten sind bequem und die Küche ist super ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht. Ein kleiner Supermarkt und Bäcker sind direkt um die Ecke, ein richtig großer Supermarkt im nahe gelegenen Shoppingzentrum. Der Strand Praia Formosa ist fußläufig in ca. 10 Minuten gut zu erreichen (man kann auf einem Wanderweg sogar zu Fuß zur Bucht von Camara de Lobos weiterlaufen). Ich würde das Appartment auf jeden Fall wieder mieten.

Die Ausstattung auf dem Balkon ist verbesserungswürdig, aber das ist auch der einzige Verbesserungsvorschlag (eine etwas bequemere Sitzgruppe und Liegestühle wären toll).
