Piscinula - Charming stay in Trastevere

Beautiful spacious layout on the quieter side of Trastevere. Great bar/breakfast downstairs. Quick walk to city center. Location. Location. Location.

Bathrooms sometimes smelled musty/sulfur. May be old pipes/trastevere

Spacious, great value for a last-minute stay mid-week.

This could be a 10/10 property if the owner wasn’t so cheap and actually understood hospitality. - Provide multiple towels to guests, ideally nice towels. One towel and one washcloth per guest for the stay is cheap. - Provide shampoo and soap in the showers. And some laundry detergent. We received a small 1-time use shampoo packet per person. Here is the literal note I received on WhatsApp: “Hello! Soap and shampoo is provided for courtesy just for the first day. Then is up to to you buy it. Laundry detergent, same. The toilet It doeas flush, sometimes it get stuck, you need to tap it quickly” The manager came to check on the toilet and refused to bring a few extra shampoo packets or towels.

Location is exceptional, you are in the middle of everything. The living room is stunning with 180 degree views of the piazzetta. Lots of space, moderno and charming.

The shower in the ensuite of the single room (behind the front door) wasn't usable as there was no shower curtain.

The common spaces are beautiful and comfortable. This is extremely well located, very easy to get to great restaurants, shopping and sites of Rome.

Trash pickup was extremely loud in the middle of the night and could be heard from 2 of the bedrooms. There were also bathroom issues: the largest bathroom had a gas/sewage smell coming from the pipes and one bathroom had a broken door.
