Log Cabin at The Old Summer Dairy Glastonbury

Scrupulously clean throughout. Well done to who-ever cleans the property. Beautiful location in the Somerset countryside, no light pollution or noise at night. We slept so well on very comfortable beds. We saw a hare in the garden and enjoyed the fresh air, moon and stars in clear night skies. Local pubs were very welcoming with good food. Overall it was a magical stay.

The access to the beds is via steep, narrow ladders without hand rails, this would not suit everyone. We both managed to get up and down but it is worth noting that the premises is best suited for able-bodied adults who are not worried about heights. I had not spotted the ladders on the photos at time of booking and it did cause some concerns.

What a besutiful little cabin in the countryside. We loved our stay here. The cabin was well presented and well equipped. It was very comfortable and the perfect place to wind down and relax for a couple of days. The gas bbq enabled us to eat well each evening. We hope to return next year.

Such a peaceful environment

Location was lovely.

We thought there would be a toilet in the roof next to one of the beds as that’s what it looked like in the photos but I obviously got that wrong. Perhaps this could have been clearer in the description. There is only 1 toilet on main floor to share between 4 people also which caused issues. My elderly mother struggled with the step ladder so we moved her onto the sofa bed which was a very hard futon and very uncomfortable so we ended up cutting our stay short which was a shame as I really needed that break. Now need another holiday! This place is ideally suited for fit family with teenage children who can climb steep ladders, (not young children due to risk of them falling from a height).
