Great location, lots of space, owner friendly

Hot water runs out so fast

The location near the train station is excellent. The beds were very comfortable. The host provided fans for every room, which we did not need, but still that is a nice addition. The apartment was very clean and there were many cleaning products. The cross-ventilation front to back was pleasant. The view across Lake Thun was nice.

The capsule coffee machine did not work with any of the capsules provided, nor with those that we bought, and there was no other way to make coffee. This was very disappointing. Some of the outlets in the bedrooms did not work, which made it very inconvenient to use and charge digital devices. The non-stick pans in the kitchen were extremely worn and not usable. This may be my problem but there was no cooking oil in the kitchen. When a host advertises a full kitchen at a premium price , I expect a minimum of condiments such as salt, which was there, and oil and vinegar, which were not. This again was disappointing. The neighbors just below the apartment (not under the host's control but nonetheless pertinent to guest's experience) smoked up a storm and this smoke wafted through the unit. The apartment building is adjacent to a HVAC contractor who decided to start drilling sheet metal at 5AM. Again, this is not under the host's control but does affect the guest.
