Maison au cœur des vignes

Prachtige omgeving, mooi uitzicht op de wijnranken en super rustig. Ruim huis, fijne keuken en groot terras. De locatie is ook goed. Je kan zo lopend naar het dorpje wat leuk is. Er is ruim voldoende keuken keuken gerei en servies aanwezig. Oven en inductie plaat helemaal goed en vaatwasser ook.

Terras was ongezellig, geen lekkere stoelen en te kleine tafel om te ontbijten op terras. BBQ moet vervangen en terras mag wel wat gezelliger aangekleed. Bedden zijn goed maar erg klein voor lange mensen. Er is geen WIFI. Er hangt een beetje onfrisse geur in het huis vooraf bij binnenkomst in de hal.

Lea and Florian are wonderful hosts. Florian personally welcomed us at the door, making us feel at home from the very beginning. The property has a real soul, from the vintage dining sets that make every meal special to the beautiful champagne coolers and locally crafted glassware. Our dog was also warmly welcomed with a cozy sleeping basket and a thoughtful meal setup, which we truly appreciated. Florian even helped us park our low-riding car :), understanding the challenge perfectly as he owns a similar car himself and knows the local conditions well. The terrace was fantastic, with great BBQ facilities and dining table that made it easy to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Even though there isn’t a direct view, the greenery from the treetops and the open sky still create a beautiful Champagne-region ambiance.

Honestly, nothing major comes to mind. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add a couple of newer, high-quality sunbeds and perhaps a more comfortable outdoor lounge/couch area on the terrace, it would elevate the atmosphere and overall vibe even further.

The home in Epernay is quite lovely and great for parties of 3-4 people. It is also dog friendly, the owner even provided a nice dog basket for our pup. It is nicely furnished and the owners are very responsive and accommodating. The location is best if you have a car, as it is a 30min walk to the center of the city.

Due to the stunning stone floors the home remained a bit cold. We had to request to increase the heat to the radiators. I would recommend providing blankets and adding rugs for a more comfortable stay in the winter.
