Apartman Milica-Mica

Beautiful apartment, the location was wonderful, and there was a view of the bay! Our host was incredibly kind and helpful. We would love to stay there again.

Appartement spacieux, bien équipé avec une jolie terrasse sur la baie de Kotor. L’emplacement est parfait, près de la vieille de Kotor que l’on peut rejoindre aisément à pieds. La literie est très confortable !

Communication un peu compliquée avec l’hôte qui nous a envoyé des vocaux en croate que nous avons eu un peu de mal à traduire… mais on y est arrivés!! Merci beaucoup. Nous avons passé un superbe séjour.

The location was great as it was only about a 15 minute walk to the main town of Kotor. It was really nice to get away from the cruise ship crowds. The room was very roomy and it had a balcony with a really good view. Nearby there was plenty of services such as supermarkets, restaurants, bakery, coffee shops, etc... The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for the shower. The host communication was very good and the apartment was easy to go in and out of.

The shower could have been bigger, but the one was ok for me.

At the price point and considering that my issues below may not be the norm, I think it's a great value. The bedroom was a good size with a great view and the bed was comfortable. It was nice to have a kitchen to prepare food. Pretty clean overall and quiet. Lots of closet space in the bedroom. Parking on site and away from the street. There are a handful of restaurants within walking distance and it's about a 20 minute walk to old town. There are a few flights of stairs, which was not an issue for my stay but may be for others with large bags or other restrictions.

The lack of communication from the host was my biggest issue. I tried to reach out directly and through Booking multiple times ahead of my stay to confirm details about my arrival. The host finally contacted me the day of travel during my layover at the airport after I once again reached out to customer service for assistance. I notified the host upon arrival to Tivat Airport to let them know I was on the way, again when I was 10 minutes out, and once more when I arrived. Still, I had to wait over 20 minutes for the host to arrive with the key. This was after 6 pm - I was hungry and exhausted from travel. The place was not ready so I had to wait a few more minutes while the host finished preparing the place. In the end, there were still remnants of the previous guest (dirty pan in the oven, opened containers in the fridge, etc). When I went to shower, the drain was clogged and water began to pool in the shower with hair that was not mine. I texted the host about it that night and was told they would come tomorrow to fix it. By the next evening it had still not been fixed so I reached out again and was once again told someone would come the next day. After a couple more text exchanges, someone ended up coming that evening to fix it but I feel that I should not have had to go through so much effort as the guest to have this fixed. This experience was enough for me to say that I would not stay here again. However, because there are so many other favorable reviews for this place I'm hoping that my experience was a deviation from the usual.
