The access to the apartment was simple - an email from the owners gave us all the information we needed. The apartment building is right in the centre of town - a two minute walk to a small Carrefour or a 10 minute walk to a huge Carrefour! Everything in the apartment was spotlessly clean. We had one query about disposing of the rubbish we had accumulated but a phone call to the owner sorted it out immediately.

There were no instructions for the TV but we didn't bother asking the owners as we weren't sure we'd need to use it. Also we wanted to invite another couple in for dinner one evening but there were only two dinner plates, so we couldn't.

Wry clean and outfitted

Parking can be challenging but it’s expected for the town.

Cherbourg ist nicht sehr groß und mit dieser Wohnung waren wir mittendrin. Ein Supermarkt ist ganz nah, ebenso wie die Fußgängerzone. Und auch alles andere kann man von hier aus gut zu Fuß besuchen: Den Yachthafen, verschiedene Gärten und Kirchen, den Markt und viele Geschäfte, Restaurants und Bars. Zwischen moderneren Mehrfamilienhäusern schaut man vom Balkon aus auf malerisch verschachtelte Häuser der Altstadt. Der Bahnhof ist fußläufig zu erreichen und der Fährhafen mit einem güstigen Bus.

Für uns war es die perfekte Unterkunft, die wir leider nur für eine Nacht gebucht hatten. Wir haben kein Haar in der Suppe gefunden.
