Brother Bear Lodge at Talkeetna

Clean and well appointed. Modern inside and very comfortable beds.

Only one bathroom. You either had to climb stairs or descend stairs to use the bathroom at night.Fun

Located in a quiet area within a short 10 mins drive to town. Lodge furnishings are rustic and classic, I especially like the Big Chill fridge and cooker. Kitchen is well equipped with complete modern appliances, cooking and baking tools, wide array of spices and oil.

Shower and toilet are on the second floor while one bedroom is on the first floor and the second bedroom, accessible via a spiral staircase, is on the third floor (an open attic).

Great Location near Talkeetna Air Taxi and the town. Great breakfast just a 5 minute walk away at Swiss Cafe. Responsive host.

The view was nice.

We are in out mid sixties, we asked how to get from Train depot to the property and was advised it was a doable walk. Although it was about a mile walk, it was difficult with luggage, especially the last leg which was a dirt road. Also, there is 1 bathroom and it is on the second floor. The beds are located on the first floor and a loft, so you are always climbing stairs. The loft is only good for very short people since there is little head room.
