Deluxe Tufnell Park Apartment

The apartment's location is excellent, and it was a great option for us as a family with two children. The apartment is really well-equipped with everything you need for your stay. The location is a short walk from the tube station. The owner was very helpful and responded very quickly to any doubts we had.

We loved the apartment but there are some things that you should be aware of before booking. It is right next to a train line. The noise of passing trains didn't bother us, but it would bother a light sleeper. The apartment is within a social housing block. Again, there were no issues there for us. Parking is tricky as all parking around the property is resident-only between 10.00 and 12.00.

The location was perfect. Close to the heath waterlow park and to the tube station, York rise is a vibrant community, nearby cafe, pub and food shops. I was vising someone who lives in the area so it was absolutely perfect. The balcony was great to sit out and cool off in the evening Am likely to visit again. As it fitted my needs perfectly.

Nothing it was great

It was in the right area for our visit.

This is the email I sent to the owners/managing company. As yet I have had no reply (4 days after stay and counting): You failed to be specific about the address and where on the road it was, despite my telling you that it was dark and raining, and that we were carrying luggage. The photos of the lock box did not bear any relation to what was on the wall and we had to try them all.  When I sent you a message asking where the sofa and sofa bed were, you didn't even answer me.  I chose this apartment because there would be somewhere to relax over the 4 nights we were staying.  The description was clear that there was a sofa and the photographs you posted confirmed this.  When we arrived you had swapped them for another two beds.  There was nowhere for us to sit together and spend time without sitting bolt upright in the dining area chairs. This is misrepresentation.  This is not a deluxe apartment: there is graffiti on the bathroom window and the toilet seat does not fit properly.  We were woken in the night by lots of voices and police lights attending an incident. Our nights were also interrupted by water running in other flats and refilling in their pipes. Outside the bedroom window are train tracks, with trains that travel day and night, noisily, disturbing our sleep and preventing rest and relaxation. This is severe enough to require a warning on your description/booking.com entry.  We are not happy, as this was not just some overnight where we can ignore the shortcomings. It was for a special occasion to visit with family and friends, and it was expensive.  We did not get a single good night's sleep and took no joy in being in the flat. We will not be returning.
