The location, near the historic part of town, is the best thing about Palazzo Cavour--that and the reasonable price. The lady at the bar in the main building would make capuccinos, hot chocoate, and, for a fee, caffe leccese when we had breakfast. Staff was friendly.
Palazzo Cavour is in more than one building. Our room was like a studio apartment below ground level kitty-corner from the main building. Internet didn't work at first; tech guy had to add another modem. We walked across the street in a rainy drizzle to partake of the modest buffet breakfast (sliced turkey and cheese, lowfat yogourt, bread for toast, hard-boiled eggs, assorted pastries). Our apartment connected to another, and I had to cover the keyhole in the connecting door for the sake of privacy. (We could still hear them talking.)
