Kanko Ryokan Yamato

Literally everything was great. The location is top notch - on top of the hill in the midst of nature, the sunrises and sunsets are marvellous and we were following them from our window, the ladies managing the ryokan are friendly, hospitable and very respectful. The breakfast were very traditional and tasty. The nearby city of Ikoma is easy to get to (via cute cable car) and is very cozy with nice people. Choosing a place with private onsen was our best decision so far in our travels across Japan. Definitely, coming here again if we have the chance

The aunt and younger sister who run the place are so lovely. It's a ryokan that feels like home. The rooms give you the feeling of being in a traditional Japanese house. If you're looking for peace and a Japanese atmosphere, I highly recommend it. It's also conveniently located.

There aren't many restaurants around here. If you're looking for a restaurant, I recommend checking at Ikoma Station.

Alles. De route ernaartoe met de cable car is al leuk. Vervolgens is het maar een paar meter van het station af. De ryokan ligt in een prachtig bergdorpje, met een paar restaurants en een prachtige tempel. De medewerkers zijn ontzettend lief en ze hebben oog voor detail, zoals gekoelde thee op de kamer om bij te komen van de reis. Grote, ruime kamer, goeie airco, prima bed. Ik voelde me welkom en thuis. Het ontbijt was prachtig en verzorgd. Ik heb ontzettend genoten hier!
