The apartment is located right on the Greetsiel dike. Despite its quiet, secluded setting, the town center—with its numerous restaurants, bars, and cafés, as well as the famous Greetsiel harbor—is just a few minutes’ walk away. In addition, you can easily reach numerous attractions on foot, such as the Leyhörn Nature Reserve, the Leysiel Lock in Greetsiel, and the Pilsum Lighthouse. Of course, a bike ride is also a great way to explore the surrounding area. For example, you can cycle to the Norddeich Seal Sanctuary or to Germany’s tallest lighthouse in Campen in about an hour. Day trips to the East Frisian islands—such as Borkum, Norderney, Langeoog, or Juist—are also highly recommended in every season. The ports of Emden (for Borkum) and Norddeich (for Juist and Langeoog) are only about a 20- to 30-minute drive from the apartment. During the summer months, day trips are also offered regularly from the Greetsiel harbor.
