Very clean, well stocked, lovely house

Appartement au 1er étage bien insonorisé car situé sur une voie très fréquentée ; emplacement pour garer sa voiture un peu étroit mais c'est un vrai plus dans une ville où le stationnement est compliqué ; de plus l'arrêt de bus est au pied de la maison et permet de gagner le centre-ville en 5 à 10 mn. Equipement très complet (vaisselle, linge).

Le matelas de la chambre semble un peu ancien

- Great location, well connected to the centre - Large flat, with very nice natural light - Really appreciated the little details like nice and big towels, plenty of toiletries, coffee capsules and biscuits etc. - Great desk with a lamp and a comfortable chair, which were perfect for me to do some work

- The broken tile in the bathroom should be fixed; it could pose a hazard - WiFi in the bedroom was very weak (5Mb/s download); a mash system would help here - The walls are paper thin and the floor quite squeaky; this is not fixable and I personally did not mind it at all, but good for others to know

The location of the property is great - next to the bus stop and just a few bus stop ride from Oxford town centre. I could tell that the property has been cleaned prior to the check in, the bedsheets and towels were clean however it is in desperate need of TLC, especially the bathroom floor. The host/property manager Grace is great, prompt to respond and very helpful.

It was a bit of a shock when I had to pay refundable £150 deposit to receive the check in instructions. The only place it was mentioned was the very end of the listing, but to be honest who reads every single bit of the listing when booking an appartment for weekend's stay! I have never come across this whilst booking through booking.com and it was very unpleasant surprise. There is also an option of paying non-refundable deposit of around £30, the choice is yours! The whole place could do with a bit of update - fresh paint, replacing the cracked tiles in the bathroom and proper deep clean. The pictures speak for themselves.
