Gate at back of property was not able to be unlocked , bit worrying if been an emergency

A really nice apartment only 10 minutes walk into the main town square/beach. It has a beach opposite and 3 small family restaurants only 200m away heading away from town (north-east). Close to the airport for fast transfer with a lively town great for dining, beach and watersports. El Medano feels like a really good spot for couples or families - and this apartment supports that.

The arrival instructions were a little vague. Our taxi set us down at the main Block address (Vista Marina No 57) and we were confronted with an array of post boxes and a bell/intercom system (for Block B) - but no sign of the 'safety lockbox'. It was only when we wandered along the pavement that we saw units with direct street access - then the number 55 and the key lockbox made sense. The details were there - but only clear once you knew. (We have provided suggested pictures and added words to make this clearer to other travellers, to the owners.) Also - the hot water supply although great for a couple, tended to start running cool after just the 2 showers - families may have to 'manage' that aspect to make it last. (Not a big issue for us)

La casa es muy amplia, las camas son cómodas y el anfitrión tuvo el detalle de dejar toallas para la playa y juegos para los niños así como unos polvorones. Está cerca andando de la playa y se puede también ir andando al pueblo. Es fácil entrar y salir con la llave del cajetín de la entrada, no hay que estar pendiente de nadie. No hay garaje pero se aparca bien en la calle. Hay televisión smart que se puede conectar a tus canales de pago y wifi que funciona perfectamente. El agua de la ducha tarda en calentar y el tendal de ropa fijo está en una zona donde hay sombra y tarda en secar, pero entendemos que esto pudiera entrar en la "normalidad". Hay muchas escaleras dentro de la casa.

Hubo tres detalles que hacen que la estancia no fuese sobresaliente: -No hay lavavajillas. Estar constantemente lavando platos era algo que no teníamos previsto. -No está enfrente de la playa como parece en las fotos y todas las vistas estaban de obras, con obreros y máquinas todo el día. Considero que esto fue engañoso y se nos podría haber avisado antes. Si bien es cierto que la playa es solo un paseo andando pero la terraza no es tan bucólica como pudiera parecer, da al asfalto. -No tiene cafetera de cápsulas ni un tendal de ropa móvil, esto ya para la matrícula de honor, hubiese hecho más cómodo el desayuno y el secar la ropa al sol dado que el tendal fijo está en una zona de sombra constante.

Location is excellent, a short but nice stroll into town, and right across the road from a lovely little beach. The house is also very spacious and perfect for longer stays. The outside terraces are lovely.

A minor thing, The main road outside can be quite busy first thing in the morning during the week.
