'Sand Pebbles': Bright Bungalow - Steps to Beach!

Place was cute and quaint. Needs some up keep inside and out, but we enjoyed our stay anyway.

Exactly as adverized and priced accordingly. Not the Tal Mahal but not a dump. State Park version of Charcoal BBQ grill, very sturdy. The sun umbrella for patio was broken. The beach chairs were good. Maybe 50 yds to wooden decked beach access. Sea Ranch resort restaurant was superb and 35 yds away. We'd stay here again as 2 couples or with 1 kid. Great streaming tv and wifi. They had beach towels. Publix & Foodlion within 1 mile. Owners were superb to work with.

Pros House was very easy to enter at checkin thru back door. Good sized backyard for the dogs. 2 sides are pretty much fenced. Enough space to play fetch! Cute beachy decor, very neat and tidy. Beds are comfortable. Little niceties like small shampoo, cond and lotions and hangers. Games and record player/records to use. Kitchen nicely stocked, salt, pepper, extra bags, coffee filters, even found a measuring cup that I needed. One nice surprise was a Kuerig and a drip pot. There was a basket of k-cups, coffee, cocoa, etc. Cute mat for the dogs bowls. Treats already in the dog treats jar, and there were extra poop bags to use if needed. Cons A bit more than a few steps to the beach...about a block away, cross the street, go thru the public access parking lot, across the dunes and there ya are! I really thought we were on the beach, my misconception of the term "a few steps" I guess. Sofa sunk down and hard to get out of, a bit worn out. Deck out back, paint is peeling and we kept tracking the chips into the house. Broken umbrella, couldn't use while we were there, but owner has ordered one. Very small bathroom, if you're over "average" size, the toilet area may be an issue. Overall, we wouldn't stay here again. We had 3 adults and 2 small dogs. The trip to the beach was impossible for my sister to go to since she has cancer and couldn't walk that far. Definitely look for a place closer to or on the beach next time.
