Great apartment in Basel, convenient to public transport!

Apartment was super clean, convenient location close to the tram and a bus stop, hosts were very friendly and helpful. We got BaselCards which made public transport free and gave us discounts at local attractions - very cool! Would totally stay here again. The washer and dryer were convenient, kitchen was spacious - lots of room for an apartment in Europe at the price point. The little treats inside were a nice touch and the space felt homey/welcoming.

The shower was super awkward. Not necessarily the hosts' fault but I feel like some slight tweaks could make it easier. Put weights on the bottom of the shower curtain :D. It kept flying inward while we were showering and would stick to you. The bathroom rug also needs to be deep cleaned (smell). Fan in the bedroom didn't work/is broken.

Location within the city and price (only compared to Swiss standards). Also the helpfulness and availability of the team even in holiday season, we had an issue with the fridge which was resolved efficiently the same day.

Building is a literal construction site, so each workday morning at 7-8h we would get waken up by very loud drilling and construction works so the alarm clock wasn't needed. Also the hygiene of the apartment was barely tolerable at first so we had to clean it ourselves a bit, floors were dirty and the balcony wasn't cleaned properly. For example the fridge smelled so bad we weren't able to open it otherwise the room would reek so bad to the point of inducing vomit. They have resolved this issue later but it was a really sour welcome nonetheless. house rules were just ridiculous where 750 CHF is asked if you lose a 8€ key for example.

Enjoyable and comfortable stay

Great apartment I would thoroughly recommend. Excellent location in a nice, quiet neighbourhood with plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and supermarkets on the doorstep without having to go into town. Under 10 minutes walk to Basel train station and two tram lines just a very short walk away which are very useful for getting to and back from the city centre. Apartment is modern, comfortable, well equipped and spacious with comfortable beds and very quiet at night. Check in and out very easy. All good.

GREAT APPARTMENT FOR SHORT OR LONGER STAYS IN BASEL

The instructions that we were given prior our arrival, regarding the way to reach and enter the appartment were in full detail. Upon arrival we all received our personal Basel Card for free, which offered free public transportation and discounts at several places of attraction. The appartment is located in a district with adequate supermarkets (for the daily needs) and is either in walking distance or well connected by Public Transportation to most of the places of interest (incl. Railway and Bus Station, Zoo etc). Although no meals were included in our booking, there were supplies for coffee & tea making and some -much appreciated- welcoming swiss chocolates, wine and fruits. The appartment was comfortable, clean and fully equipped with all the appliances and cooking aids that can be useful for short or even longer stays. The photos that are shown at the booking page depict reality. Above all, we received great service by the hosts who took immediate action once we reported a drainage problem, which was solved within 2 hours, although it was Saturday. Well done!

The ackward notices in the apartment that warned us about getting various charges/fines, if we did or didn't do something, for example charging 35CHF (!) for "any" unwashed dishes left at check-out.

Alles war rundum gut

Von A bis Z war alles gut. Die Lage war hervorragend, das Zentrum war schnell und einfach zu erreichen. Die Wohnung hatte alles, was man braucht. Besonders an den heissen Tagen war der Deckenventilator eine große Erleichterung. Die Gastgeber haben sich viel Mühe gegeben und haben an alle wichtigen Informationen und hilfreichen Tipps gedacht. Danke!

Die Matratzen waren für unsere Bedürfnisse etwas zu weich. Auch war es schwierig, einen Parkplatz für den eigenen Wagen zu finden.

L'échange avec les hotes etait très bon (en anglais ) , l'appartement est tres bien situé, avec tout l'équipement nécessaire pour utiliser la cuisine , produits de 1er nécessité inclus , ce qui n'est pas le cas dans tous les appartements ! ( huile, vinaigre, thé , café, sucre, lave vaiselle etc ...) . Appartement tres bien équipé, joliment decoré, on s'y sent bien . L'appartement est facile à trouver , avec un très bon emplacement au calme. Bon a savoir lorsque vous allez sur bale : une carte de transport gratuite vous est offerte si vous réservé un logement , pour en bénéficier il faut juste envoyer quelques jours avant votre arrivée , le temps de la réalisation des cartes, des informations sur les voyageurs (chose que je n'avais pas compris tout de suite). Nos hotes ont été très efficaces !

Perfekter Aufenthalt – 10 Sterne! Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit in diesem Appartement! Alles war vorhanden – von einer voll ausgestatteten Küche über bequeme Betten bis hin zu Duschgel und Shampoo. Das WLAN war ausgezeichnet, und es gab sogar Kaffee- und Tee-Zubehör, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer machte. Ein besonderes Highlight war die Basel Card, mit der wir Museen vergünstigt besuchen und die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel kostenlos nutzen konnten. Alles war perfekt organisiert, sauber und gemütlich – absolut empfehlenswert! Vielen Dank für die tolle Unterkunft! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Formidable

Un appartement bien décoré, chaleureux, calme car au dernier étage de l'immeuble. Un accès pratique avec un ascenseur. Nos hôtes nous avaient préparé deux verres pour le vin mousseux offert, une dégustation de spécialités locales. Les serviettes, les produits de douches étaient à disposition. Nous avons même bénéficié d'un passe gratuit pour les transports publiques. Une merveille. Merci nos hôtes! Dans la cuisine il y avait huile et vinaigre, les condiments de base, bref, tout pour se sentir bien accueilli!

Les matelas des lits étaient très mous et cela nous a causé des maux de dos. Bon, la question des matelas reste très délicate, car chaque personne a ses propres besoins en matière de dureté de matelas. Je pense que les hôtes devraient faire comme dans les hôtels, mettre une fermeté moyenne et des matelas de qualité supérieure. Ainsi, tout le monde peut trouver plus ou moins son confort. Question stationnement c'est le problème des grandes villes. Un peu difficile de trouver des places gratuites à durée limitée dans les rues avoisinantes.
