Pets are allowed. A fee of €5 per night is payable on site. The coastal resort of Neßmersiel is located in northwestern Lower Saxony, across from the East Frisian island of Baltrum. It is the smallest seaside resort on the East Frisian North Sea coast. Here you’ll find North Sea waves, endless green meadows, and dikes. As soon as you arrive, you’ll automatically fall in step with the typical North German laid-back atmosphere. In Neßmersiel, you can still find that cozy, tranquil vacation idyll. Neßmersiel is surrounded by dikes, just under 1 km from the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park. Walkers on the dike are treated to an unforgettable panorama—both of the sea, with the islands of Baltrum, Norderney, and Langeoog, and of the inland landscape. The North Sea, the dikes, the meadows, and the Wadden Sea offer pure nature! “Experience and relax” is the motto.
Nessmersiel is a paradise for mudflat hikers. Most mudflat hikes to the island of Baltrum start from here. Hiking across the seabed—for many people, this is an unforgettable experience. Boats depart daily from the ferry terminal to the island of Baltrum in the national park and to the seal colonies.
Bicycle paths along the coastal plain and through green meadows offer the opportunity to explore everything by bike.
You can relax wonderfully on the beach, sheltered from the wind, in the beach chairs.
