Welcome to our Kate in Mönkebude - Mönke's Kate - at the Szczecin Lagoon. Our listed former cottage of a fisherman's farm is available for you to relax. Built in 1860 as an extension for the former large barn house of a fisherman family from Mönkebude and used for living until about 1982. Today our guests relax between the old half-timbered walls made of bricks, walls plastered with clay inside and under the beautiful thatched roof on approx. 80 m² of living space. There is also a classically furnished living room with a sofa and armchairs from grandma's times and a fireplace. Of course there is also a TV set and a small classic secretary for short office work. Next to the living room is the bedroom with beds specially adapted for this room, which can be put together. Connected to the bedroom you will find a walk-in closet. The storage room character from the old days has been retained for your clothes and a few other small items and can be used optimally. The kitchen as the central room was completed in glass with a load-bearing beam construction around it, in order to preserve the view of the brick masonry and the construction of the cottage. This is furnished with a robust solid wood kitchenette in which our guests will find all the kitchen utensils. Of course, Mönkebude also offers a lot of gastronomy for you. The entrance area consists of a vestibule and a small hallway. In the heating season, a convector heater is available - supported by electric heaters. Opposite the entrance to the hayloft you will find the exit to the outdoor terrace above the kitchen area - a cozy area with a patio table and chairs. In addition, we provide you with WiFi.
