About this house rental
Summary:
This chic 3-level, 3BR/3BA home features sunny bedrooms, comfy furniture, TVs in every bedroom, TWO full kitchens and a large back patio for entertaining! You're just blocks to downtown/Capital One Arena/Chinatown/Georgetown Law and Capitol Hill, plus there are tons of restaurants and entertainment options within a few blocks. The home has been renovated with fun details and lots of unique features, so it will be a fun home away from home for your trip to the Nation's Capital!
The Space:
The main level features a large living/dining/kitchen area with full sized appliances, access to the patio with patio lights and outdoor furniture and a small FULL Bathroom (don't be fooled- the shower is right above your head!) and exposed brick. Upstairs are two bedrooms including one with a king bed, and a full bathroom. The lower level features a large separate bedroom that has a full kitchen and a full bathroom too. There is a washer/dryer upstairs and a combo washer/dryer in the lower level.
Guest Access:
You'll have easy access to the property 24/7 through our electronic lock, which generates a unique code for each guest that automatically expires upon their departure and won't work before their arrival.
The Neighborhood:
Shaw is a historic DC neighborhood with green parks, brick sidewalks and lots of historic rowhomes. There are tons of restaurants, bars and coffeeshops, plus Metro and the Convention Center, all within blocks.
Getting Around:
Buses go in front of the house, there are bike lanes on New Jersey avenue (rent a bike using the Lyft and Uber apps, or use Lyft or Uber to get a private car. But you can easily walk just about anywhere you want to go as well, since you are so centrally located.

Clean and efficient space, well stocked kitchen. Great location and easy check-in and check-out with no unreasonable requests from the host. Timely responses and informative communication with host. Enjoyed the stay.

Attended a 4 day conference and appreciated staying in a home rather than hotel. The unit was clean and functional.

Biggest issue was that the air didn't work and I was advised to open windows. Unfortunately, there were no windows in the basement. Heat and menopause are the worst, so I was miserable.There was a heap of trash strewn about on the back porch, so we were not able to enjoy the outdoors.The doorbell cannot be heard inside. We were sitting on the couch, and a family member called inside to say he'd been ringing the doorbell for so long that he was going to leave. We tested it, but it could only be heard from outside, but no sound inside.There was a load of linens left inside the dryer.The basement had a musty, kind of old carpet smell--not overwhelming, but noticable. The owner/property manager responded to my texts and answered the phone when I called.There was a heap of trash spr
