Highbury Colombo

Strong AC. Beautiful property.

It was difficult to get the shower water steady at a comfortable temperature. It was either scalding hot or luke warm. Fluctuating, would not stay a consistent comfortable temperature. I expected more for the price.

Everything about this place is exceptional. It's located centrally, the owners and staff were super friendly and responsive. The rates were extremely reasonable and the whole ambiance and the feel of the place is sublime .

I did not encounter anything I was not happy with during my stay of 3 nights.

The owners were extremely helpful and polite and the property was beautiful! Very much exceeded expectations.

It’s located the south of the city centre and is slightly off the beaten path, but the area is clean, quiet, and peaceful. It’s a nice change from the hustle and crowded of Colombo’s old town. And since Uber rides are pretty affordable here, it’s still really easy to get around by car or tutu and reach the city centre or some of the tourist attractions.

However, there was a problem with the roof leaking, which is especially annoying in Colombo because it rains quite often. There were times when I was lying in bed and rainwater would actually come through the ceiling and drip onto the bed. But what I really couldn’t understand was that the hotel didn’t offer luggage storage. Check-out was before 10 am, and I wanted to put my luggage, just a big backpack at the hotel and go out to take a view for Colombo. But the owner told me they couldn’t store my luggage. So I had no choice but to leave with my backpack. And honestly, this really, really, really annoyed me.
