Kostas Beach Apartments

Beautiful spacious apartment in a fabulous location. Perfect for enjoying peace and tranquility. A large double bedroom, kitchen diner, two bathrooms and a balcony (which gets very hot). Easy access to a smaller sandier beach located at the far end of the main beach. Spotlessly clean and towels changed regularly. The pool area is pleasant with plenty of shade and sunbeds. Just a short stroll along the beach into the village, however care must be taken in the uneven boardwalk and rocky beach. Lots of fantastic tavernas all serving excellent food and drinks. Very friendly and helpful owners.

Nothing really but just be aware it's not possible to access the property by car. Arrangements need to be made to meet the owner at a suitable location in order to transport the luggage. It's then necessary to walk down a very rocky lane to the apartments. A bit tricky in the dark if you have mobility issues.

1. Lisa was very helpful and good to talk to throughout our stay 2. The apartment was excellent, spacious, clean with good aircon in both bedrooms 3. The view over the pool and out to sea was lovely, especially for the sunsets 4. The pool, sunbeds and huge parasols were all excellent 5. We had access to what was almost a private beach 6. The Black Rocks restaurant was only 50 metres away and very good value

1. The taxi from the airport could only drop us off at some distance to the property. We then had to walk down a rocky track to the beach and then along a boardwalk and sand to get to the property. Fortunately Kostas was able to take our heavy bags separately in a 4x4 vehicle, but we did not know where we were going as no-one came with us. It was not a good start but things got better thereafter. It would have been fine if he could have taken us as well as the bags' 2. The nearest mini market was 10 minutes walk away along the beach. There was no other means of transport, which is OK going but a bit of a slog coming back in the heat, carrying loaded shopping bags. Fortunately, Lisa provides bottled water so we didn't have to carry that. 3. Similarly, to get to any other restaurants in the village, of which there were many, meant a 10-15 minute walk along the beach via the boardwalk and sand in places, which is OK going but more difficult coming back in the dark. 4. The kitchen was quite well appointed, but there were no dishes that you could put into the oven as all of the pots had plastic handles. Also a dishwasher would have been useful as the kitchen was quite small for 2 people to be in at the same time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kostas. The apartments are in a very quiet, peaceful location with an uncrowded beach close by. Our room had a slightly obstructed view of the sea and the lovely pool and its surrounds. The balcony furniture was modern and comfortable and we had a beautifully renovated and spotless bathroom.Most of the tavernas and shops are a short walk along part boardwalk, part pebbles and we liked this as we were close enough but far enough from the main hub. Luggage is not an issue as the owners assist with delivering this to your apartment. Sensational sunsets can be seen every night. Lisa, the host, was amazing. She was always working to keep the place spotless including changing linen, towels and cleaning during our 6 night stay. Lisa was always happy to chat and give local advice which was always much appreciated. This included advice on walks to local villages, bus transport, Greek nights and tavernas. She was extremely helpful with organising taxis to and from the airport. We only have positive words for her. Kostas is so lucky to have her. Many people have told us that they return every year and have done for many years - we can certainly understand why. Just do it!

The lounge was uncomfortable and too hard. However, to be honest, we weren't in the room for long enough ever for this to be a major issue. No sunbeds are available at the closest beach but we were happy to lie on the sand and many sunbeds are available a short walk away-some free with purchases. There was no umbrella in the room but they are available to purchase at local shops if you want one.

An amazing place to stay the owners were so helpful and friendly. The accommodation was great and the heated pool was fantastic for our son (and us). Just a little way away from the town but easily reached with a short walk along the beach.

There was nothing to complain about, quite the opposite everything was great.
