Elena's Seaside Apartments & Studios

Fantastic location, beautifully decorated.

We recently stayed at Elena’s Apartments in Corfu, and there is much to appreciate about the experience. The location is undeniably special. The apartment sits directly facing the sea, with uninterrupted views across the water, framed by mountains and cypress trees. Being able to step out and feel so close to the ocean is rare, and it creates a sense of calm that is difficult to replicate elsewhere. With restaurants on either side and basic facilities in the apartment, it’s easy to settle into a simple, self-sufficient rhythm. The host was also consistently reachable and responsive whenever we had questions, which we valued.

During our first three days, there was continuous drilling and hammering immediately outside the apartment—literally just inches away. This was unexpected and quite disruptive. We understand that repairs may be necessary, particularly out of season, but clearer communication ahead of arrival would have helped manage expectations. Limiting such work to certain hours would also make a meaningful difference for guests seeking rest. We were offered an alternative studio at the back, which may have been quieter, but without the sea view, it didn’t align with the experience we had chosen and paid for. There was also some inconsistency around a late check-out arrangement. Initially, we were told we could extend our stay in the apartment for a reduced fee, but this later changed to a different studio being offered for daytime use. While the gesture was appreciated, clearer and more consistent communication would have avoided some uncertainty. Arrival was slightly challenging as well. We reached the property at around 9:30pm, and without the help of a very kind taxi driver—who carried our cases along the beach path and assisted us in locating access—it would have been difficult. In terms of comfort, the apartment was generally clean, with housekeeping every other day. The bed itself was firm but comfortable, though the pillows felt quite worn and could benefit from being replaced. Overall, this is a place with a truly exceptional setting and strong potential for a peaceful seaside stay. With improved communication and some attention to detail, the experience could fully match the beauty of its location.

The studio has a direct access to the beach. The room also had a solid internet connection and a smart TV with Youtube that helped us entertain our little daughter during raining or windy weather. The host helped me when I needed a VAT invoice and made sure to do all what is possible to support me with this documentation. The apartment had many nice restaurants and supermarkets close by which made it very easy and convenient to enjoy all the meals. The cleaning lady checked each day and provided fresh towels and toiletries.

We visited in the very early season (April 21-April 25) so there was still some construction and reparation of some facilities like the apartment's stair entrance. There were some insects due to the garden of the studio. Although there was an insect net but we noticed mosquitos and spiders hanging over there sometimes. The furniture needs to be renovated as the beds were not comfortable.
