Cute, cosy, old Grade 2 listed cottage perfectly situated in the heart of St Ives. Spread over 4 floors with comfy furnishings. Nice little details throughout, for instance a small selection of books & board games & beautiful mirrors etc. Comfortable beds.
As other reviews have noted, it was a little bit musty smelling on lower floors when we arrived, but it's a very old building close to the sea in mid winter so hardly surprising! We took a plug in air freshener & that sorted it.
It can be a little noisy - but again, surely that's the expectation when you book a cottage in a great, central location.

Main room with no mattress or pillow covers. Also dirty sofa and smelly downstairs blankets.

the location was great, just a minute away from all the restaurants and the pier.
the house was clean
for heating, the boiler was at the last floor; this made the last floor ( a bedroom ) extremely hot compared to the ground floor ( or even worse the lower ground floor which was really cold );
there was an old house smell at the lower ground floor, which was persisting up to the first floor;
while we were rightfully told that we cannot park in front of the house, a car got parked in front of the house entrance in two of the 3 days, blocking the entrance, especially when carrying any luggage. The car owner even confronted us saying we should not touch his car when he found his back wiper raised.
