Basic hotel

Great location near the Jaipur bus stand and yet inside a neighborhood so is very quiet. I didn't need earplugs to sleep!

They were not responsive through booking.com and then, oddly, told booking that I did not check in. My shower did not work. The whole place feels worn out and has zero decor. If you are on a budget, this is a good option.

Jwala Niketan is the ideal venue for a long or short stay in Jaipur.

Bana and his family made us very welcome and were very helpful in recommending local shops and arranging transport to local places of interest. The room was spacious, with plenty of storage space for clothes, a large bathroom and a window overlooking the street. This was my second visit to Jwala Niketan and I look forward to coming back!

Lovely hotel in Jaipur

The hotel is nice and in a good location. The room was spacious and nice. We had some issues with lack of hot water but i must say the owner acted very quickly to sort out the issue and even offered another room. The owner is super nice and lovely person as well as very helpful. Would recommend

I would say Jaipur has rich heritage with overall poor hygiene, bad conditions of roads and traffic.

Location was good

Hygiene was lacking Bedsheets was dirty, so I had to buy my own for bed and for covering due to cold Toilet needs complete cleaning as it was very dirty. Just a little paint for furniture would have been better.

I would definitely recommend it

I was very lucky to find this family-run hotel — it’s a rare opportunity to stay in a truly quiet place in Jaipur. The city is very loud, but this hotel is located on a small street with no traffic, so you can actually sleep well. And that’s super important. The owner, Bana, is an amazing person — very friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. He helped me with many things during my stay. The hotel is also conveniently located, just a 10–15 minute ride from the main attractions of the Old City.

The address on Booking.com was incorrect, which cost extra for a taxi. The building is old and not very clean. Only hand soap is provided, no shampoo. The blanket was dirty. There are almost no restaurants nearby. During the day, a half-naked man was at the reception. Hot water was inconsistent.

Too expensive for the state of the room

Comfortable mattress, plenty of hot water, clean. The walls looked freshly painted. The owners are quick to fix what needs fixing. We really appreciated Eva's friendliness (the receptionist) and her great recommendations

The closet's concrete shelves are covered by newspapers, which makes it impossible to unpack. The tiled floor was damaged everywhere. The windows are too dirty to touch or open. The toilet lacked basic cleaning. The cold 'welcome' by the owner and a general mess everywhere

A great way to see a different view of an amazing city.

The owners were very friendly and Helpful and we even went on an early morning city tour, which was really special

The shower was not great, but it was so hot that I did not need hot water, and every time I walked anywhere I got hopelessly lost coming back - but that was not their fault!

Exploitable! Choose a room with windows...

Offering windowless rooms to tourists who have traveled the world seems inappropriate to me. The heat also brings large cockroaches into the rooms. I only stayed one night. Bana pursuied me after I came back in my country just to express his own frustrations. Apparently, he and his sister can't stand the truth: their hotel is super dirty!!! TO FLEE!

A place of rest in the Pink City

Bana is an amazing host always willing to assist with anything. The rooms were spacious and aircon working perfect for the summer heat. Make this your base in Jaipur if you consider staying for a couple of days. Bana is also willing to help with any trips or special requests. Thanks guys. Keep up the amazing work.

Great location next to bus station

Very friendly owner. He recommended us a tuktuk for 1 day to see the activities slightly outside of the city. Close to the bus station, walking distance. Good price quality.

Welcoming, homely, relaxing, friendly.

Bana was simply amazing and was always on hand to assist with any questions / advice on where to go in Jaipur. We even went to the market with him & he haggled down the price of some trousers for us. He planned the Holi event and everyone had the most wonderful time. His family were incredibly welcoming & the breakfast at the hostel is delicious and cheap. There were fitness weights and a garden space to workout. The room we stayed in had a large window and was light and airy. This hostel is exactly what you pay for + we highly recommend. Thank you for having us :)

Warm and homely experience.

Overview: thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Jwala Niketan. The family is exceptionally welcoming and really make you feel at home. They also offer donation based walking tours of the city which is a great way to see the monuments of the city, but also less touristic areas. Room: My room was clean and spacious with a shower and western toilet. There is also a terrace where there are sometimes yoga classes to attend or to just sit and relax. Surroundings: the guesthouse is located in a quiet street, but it is in walkable distance from many attractions, shops and restaurants. Food: basic but fresh breakfast is offered at the guesthouse for a fair price, but there are also many resturants nearby. Both Indian and Western restaurants.

Unforgettable experience with friendly local hosts helping me to acclimatise to India easily

The property is located in a quiet street, yet you can easily access the centre and monuments. Family staying in the hostel is really friendly and helpful. They provide traditional Indian meals at a low cost. Every room is equipped with a fan, what really helps to survive the heatwaves. The atmosphere is friendly and you get the feeling of staying at your friend’s house, really comfortable.

Amazing homestay run by the kindest family :) great location, clean rooms and nice rooftop to chill

Instead of the one planned night I ended up staying five! It’s a wonderful family run homestay. Bana and his family are the kindest, most welcoming, soo funny and helpful people. They gave us great tips of how to best visit Jaipur, helped us book the best rides for our onward travel and even spent a lot of time just chatting, telling stories or playing games. Once my friend left they took special care of me making sure I was traveling safely as a solo female traveler. The rooms are tidy and well equipped. You can chose between fan or AC rooms. There is a communal area downstairs where you’ll always find people hanging around. The rooftop is great for chilling at the end of the day, seeing the sunset or even watching the stars. The location is really practical, close to the train station, bus station and the main tourist attractions in Jaipur city.

Wonderful guest house

I had wonderful time in the guest house. The location is quite and pretty around. The guest house itself is big but not too big. My room was just perfect for my own standards. The family is super friendly and inviting. For my last day we went to a temple in the old city together. We spend there nearly the whole day. Dances, songs, people were just wonderful. I'm gonna come back here definitely!

L’établissement était très calme et la terrasse très agréable. Bana, le propriétaire parle très bien anglais et nous a aidé à trouver un taxi pour Pushkar.

La douche ne fonctionnait pas mais il y avait de l’eau chaude et un sceau, donc pas de souci pour douche à l’indienne ;-)

La camera era grande, l acqua era calda e le prese funzionavano, non cosa scontata in India.

La posizione non è vicina alle attrazioni. Ma la cosa che non ho tollerato più in assoluto e il ragazzo dello staff, Bana. Si mostrerà subito gentile e disponile ma alla prima occasione tenterà di spillarvi soldi usando scuse improbabili. Non chiedete servizi extra o aiuto di nessun genere perché tenterà di prendervi soldi senza garantirvi nessun servizio.

Belle localisation, hôte accueillant et à l'écoute, nous recommandons !

Bana est un hôte très accueillant, qui nous a donné quelques bons tuyaux de voyage aux alentours (pour le fort d'Amber, le bus est une expérience intéressante !) et était très à l'écoute de nos besoins. On a pu utiliser le service de blanchisserie très pratique et Bana a pu nous orienter vers un réparateur pour nos sacs à dos qui avaient souffert du voyage !

Chasse d'eau qui se remplit au goutte à goutte et eau chaude absente, mais les températures ne nécessitaient pas l'eau chaude (elle n'était pas très froide pour autant !)

Tolle Stadt, toller Gastgeber.

Die Lage war super und das Zimmer war top. Der Host Bana war extrem freundlich und hat bei allem seine Hilfe angeboten. Er hat mir sogar Züge gebucht. Ich hatte eine gute Zeit!
