Comfy beds
Bath leaked. Cups were dirty and had broken brick pieces on the cups.

Location was good close to a lot of amenities and motorway
Not good enough instructions to locate propert. no answer from the host, cleanliness was disgusting, fridge was dirty and dusty, skirting boards thick with dust and old drink spillages. Bathroom toilet seat had sick down the side, tiles had toothpaste splattered over the tiles.

We'll fit out bathroom.
Comfortable bed, clean linen.
Not the room I saw advertised even though it was called the same. Not very clean, a lot of dust on the skirting boards. Very tiny cups, milk that curdled. The fridge froze everything one night so switched it off.

We asked for it to accommodate 8 adults and one baby - only 5 of us could sleep here and then we had to order another house to accommodate the rest of us. Paid £800 and then was told after arrival that we had to pay an extra £150 for somewhere to accommodate the party that we had already booked for. Photos not as described - very misleading.

Clean.
Described as ground floor…this is a basement flat.
The external surroundings leading to the entrance can only be described as “squalid”.
The property is situated in very close proximity to an extremely lively pub, if the only external window is open entertainment and customers can be heard.
In the main bedroom there was an internal door to another part of the building which was not locked within the control of the guests. There were several occasions that there was activity on the other side of the door which was in effect unsecured.
When we stayed the smell of paint was overwhelming.
At around 2am on the second night a woman was trying to gain access to the property. Eventually she seemed to be accommodated by someone from above.
The bed in the main bedroom was not a full double, as such was “cosy” for two.

Private parking/wifi/smart tv with YouTube and Netflix.
The heating didn’t work unless water was running to trigger the boiler. For the first two hours, there was no heating and I contacted the host who said to wait, it eventually came on while I was running the shower but went off after we had finished showering. So essentially our stay was cold with a thin SINGLE quilt on a small double bed. Hot tub (really a spa bath) had no instructions and the water from the smaller hole kept shooting a strong single stream of water all the way to the wall next to the toilet, just out of control. The selling point was the hot tub but it was misleading and we didn’t even get to use it. The whole room was very small with no storage space. It is a hotel room with an ensuite, not a one bed apartment if the one room IS the apartment. We had to use the chair as a bed side table and practically tripping over everything. There was no switch for the toilet/bathroom light so it was on the whole time we were there, how can guests not have power to turn on/off lights as they please? It made sleeping difficult ESPECIALLY with a green beam that was already too bright. We had to look for the charging ports, no indication that you had to move the bed to find them. This all would be easier to accept if the price was significantly cheaper and the place was clean but paying £102 for one night of luxury and having no luxury was disappointing, especially since we travelled 4 hours from London. The ‘garden view’ didn’t need to be added as a plus when it added absolutely no benefit to the view. The main view is of a tower block opposite and the garden in question, is gloomy and doesn’t look maintained. It looked grey and dirty so I’m confused as to why it was listed as something to look at. A double room at a franchise hotel would’ve been less and had more.

Lovely bars and eateries walking distance from the rooms
On the booking site said it had wardrobes hot tub and lots more which it doesnt we only booked for the hot tube so was very disappointed to find out it didn't and it was to late to change

The room was not as advertised I booked a room with separate living room to the bedroom and it was just a small box room when I complained I was just fobbed off

Shower was good and there was a cube beer fridge.
The "luxury" apartment consisted of one bed, two tiny stool like chairs that were almost impossible for an adult to sit on and certainly not enough able to use at the table as there was not enough space. This was more like a prison cell than a "luxury" apartment. I've never stayed anywhere so small in my life. There's no wardrobe or even a rail to habe clothes on. We found two wooden hangers over the shower screen and that was it. The blinds were never opened as the neighborhood didn't feel secure. Image of the wounderful view from the window is attached here. Under the bed looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time as there were bottle caps, wrappers and other rubbish. Overall, this was a pretty awful area to stay and at a cost of £200 for two nights it felt like we were robbed.

Close to Halifax
That we didn’t get the apartment that we booked and paid for ( 2 bedroom apartment ) We were given a one bedroom apartment, there was 4 of us ( 2 couples in our 50s ) Thankfully they gave us 2 one bedroom apartments, so all was good in the end, but we missed our restaurant booking and the experience was quite stressful. Unfortunately I will never use booking again for any stays away from home.

The property is decorated nicely, and the free Wifi
The property was not fully clean- the floor had tobacco in some areas, also the floor needed mopping. Outside of the cigarette tray, it needed to be emptied. The fridge needed cleaning, also the skirting boards needed dusting. Did not use the bath. Hair on the bed

Close to Halifax in a nice town
Never saw the jacuzzi and a little small

Location was good and the host replied instantly when we had an issue with the key
Everything felt disjointed - it was either completed to a wonderful standard or very low quality, there was no continuity between the items. The green light that was on in the night was difficult to cope with as well

We loved the kitchen facilities, we stayed to attend a gig in halifax and it was super helpful to just cook from the property. We also loved the amount of streaming services available on the TV. Shower and sink products were full as were tea and coffee supplies!
Since we were top floor the stairs were a little bit of a chore (cannot be helped). But apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Nicely decorated. The area is lovely, albeit outside the apartments it doesn’t look it, but go around the corner and it’s different again
We were in the top flat, and the window doesn’t open so we were so hot, had to keep wetting a flannel to try and cool down.

Location was great
Room was tiny, boiling hot, noisy and I'll equipped. We had 1 towel and 1 glass between 2 people, the duvet was smaller than the bed and the pillows were thin

The property is ideal for those who work away from home like myself. Everything was completely up to my standards and I will continue to chose Southgate apartments whilst working away
Nothing

Was nothing like advertising, the cleaner should be disgusted with herself, the room not apartment is a large single with a tiny bathroom
This small room was disgusting and the hosts are awful! Took 3 hrs to tune the tv wen it should only take a matter of seconds. Do not let the advertising pictures fool you and read the reviews, this is the only place I have given a bad review, its absolutely disgusting

Very central, and good parking. We asked for an extra hour for checking out which they said yes to.
Sadly not “luxury “
No drawers or wardrobe, think living from a suitcase & that’s what you will be doing- and then tripping over said suitcase.
Shower gel and shampoo not refilled.
One flat pillow each, single quilt on double bed.
Glasses and cups dirty as was the spoon and glass table. Very small and compact- slightly bigger than a cupboard.
Outside the property was a rats haven of old mattress and carpets in a pile.

Comfy beds. Bath and shower
Given wrong code for the main door. Rubbish outside piled up 2 doors down. We booked 2 bedroom apartment ground floor. Kitchen area.sofa bed, dining table. We got 2nd floor room with 2 double beds in, a mini fridge, 2 tiny chairs, small coffee table. 2 t bags,no coffee......not ideal for 4 people really. Our friends only stayed a couple of hours ,too crampt no drawers or wardrobe to put our things. Could hear loud music playing somewhere in the building at times and also noise from the pub across from the room. We could hear everything people outside were saying. No instructions on how to use the spa bath or shower nearly scalded myself.

Spotless room with excellent WiFi
Perhaps a sachet of coffee would have been nice.

It was 6 mins away for the venue of the wedding we were attending.
The listed facilities were miss leading , aspect of the property appeared to not have been cleaned for some time for example dust and insects on the window sill , tea cups were dusty and had dead insects on and the floor was really dirty - my daughters feet were black following a bath there and walking on the floor back to the bedroom.
View was unappealing, as it was a basement apartment, which we were not aware of until we had to call the owner for assistance to get into the property.
Beds appeared to be a very small double which was a struggle with two people.

Apartment had been refurbished and was almost very good but let down by small details
I booked the ground floor apartment and my confirmation agreed with this, however, when I was given the code for the key it had changed to the basement apartment which had no windows to open and as it was one of the hottest nights was EXCEPTIONALLY uncomfortable, also the bedding was a winter quality so ended up sleeping under dressing gown. I had walked a lot during the day at work and really looked forward to the 'hot tub' but that didn't work so was disappointed at that. When given the code I tried to get in but no amount of cajoling worked, when I spoke to the host 'Adam' he made out I was doing something wrong and was very patronising, it turned out he had given me the wrong code which meant I was unable to get in and deposit my belongings and had to carry them back to the other end of Southgate where I was working. He did eventually give me the correct code and apologised.

No way is it “luxury”, very basic furnishings, tiny apartment, no sitting room or kitchen, rooms small
Irritating light on ceiling in both bedrooms, hard to sleep.

A pleasant and respectable place, it was cosy and comfortable.
Unfortunately, you need to bring slippers with you as there was a lot of coarse dust on the floor.
