The Daffodil Hut

The whole stay was amazing! The location was stunning and the shepherd’s hut itself was gorgeous! The host’s attention to detail was particularly good; providing everything we could need, the hut was comfortable but also beautifully presented. The daffodil scheme was lovely, the room was decorated with the host’s beautiful, original, artworks on the walls and was generally very cosy. The hot tub was the perfect way to elevate the stay even further and was a highlight of our trip. Because it is a rural location, the road/ driveway to access the property is a bit bumpy but this sort of adds to the charm.

Fantastisch uitzicht, super rustig en de jacuzzi was heerlijk!! Zeer complete hut, alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig, fijn bed.

De douche was erg klein maar prima.

The hut was clean, well equipped and spacious. We did go in during a heatwavr and the heat in the hut was intense but we brought a fan and it didnt ruin our break away. The views were spectacular. The area was so peaceful and quiet. The hosts were lovely and friendly they answered questions quickly and were on hand if needed. We didn't have any problems with Internet or phone signal not that we needed it. Loved the little wildlife garden lots of butterflies, dragonflies and birds. It was all the aspects of camping but with alot more comfort. Loved it

Some of the garden area needed strimming back a little and weeding around the hot tub. Needed blinds on the window in the kitchenette area. Could of done with some storage boxes under the bed to store clothes and food. A few more hooks around too hang towels and coats out of the way.

The views were lovely, check in was made easy and communication from host was good. The hot tub was also great.

The roads up to the property are very narrow and unstable with potholes as it’s a farm setting. But I think it’s worth warning people of this before they travel. Path up to the hut is very slippy, could do with clearing regularly of moss and mud to make it safe. Bed is very springy and thin. No tea or sugar had been refilled. Outside light didn’t work on first night as it is solar and therefore had no power. Suggest fitting electric light for outside that doesn’t rely on good weather.
