Oliver by Clabao - Bardenas Reales

Una casa preciosa y enorme, con privacidad total. Cama cómoda, frescor para el verano y calefacción para los días de frío. Una terraza/patio preciosa. La casa está llena de historia, ojalá tuviéramos más tiempo para disfrutar.

Lo único es quizá que la posición de la tele es un poco rara 😅

Les équipements n’étaient pas de qualité, petit réfrigérateur , vaisselle dépareillée, nappes sales et vaisselle sale à l’arrivée . Les 2 chambres sont contiguës , pas pratique avec 2 couples. Lit présent dans la salle à manger. Il faudrait mieux préciser dans l’annonce que le patio ne fait pas partie de la location.

Extrême gentillesse et réactivité de Juan , notre hôte . La maison est très grande , propre , confortable avec de quoi cuisiner correctement . La literie est très bonne . Au calme avec une cour intérieure et un joli jardin / terrasse à l'arrière , accompagné par les hirondelles , un vrai bonheur . Et la possibilité de faire un petit feu dans la cheminée pour les soirées fraîches ! Et proche des Bardenas Reales, tout pour plaire !

Parking for two vehicles out front. (Doubt they're reserved but not an issue while we were there) Large accommodation. Large dining table. High powered shower. Kettle. (In Spain, can you believe it!?!?!)

Smelled unpleasant though out - This is nothing that putting bleach in sinks and toilet, or mopping the floor would ever fix. It just smells old/musty. The whole place needs all its old furniture throwing out and replacing as its absorbed smells from over the decades. They may as well repaint the interior too as this would help make it smell better. Noise throughout the night in the master bedroom possibly coming from the ceiling creaking kept us up all night. No bin in bathroom. Kitchen needs completely ripping out. Very, very dated interior. Not even kitsch. Some issue trying to get into the property even though instructions were sent (Two code numbers were given but in fact the same code worked for both) Emergency exit lights everywhere. Weird private / privado "Do not enter door / room" in the bedroom off the kitchen that didn't have a padlock on the outside. This just freaked my partner out (Think the 2022 film The Barbarian) as whats going on the other side of that door? Is it a cleaning cupboard? Is it another room? Does it go under the property? Does someone live in there? Master bedroom had a weird electric bed. Master bedroom had no “evening lighting” to relax/read to. Just some very high powered bright white light for a bedside lamp. Due to all of these things we did not enjoy our stay here and left after 1 of 2 nights and were given a 50% refund which we very much appreciated. We've stayed in hundreds of properties over the years and have never left one early, we've just usually sorted or put up with any issues / niggles. This was just too much though for us.
