La Criée-Sublime T4 vue sur les quais, climatisé

The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. The location was unexpectedly very central and was excellent for getting around Sete and eating etc. with a nice view of the canal but not of the lake as stated. See below. From the canal, we went on a trip round the harbour and out into the Med. Excellent value finishing with Moules and frites in a restaurant nearby included in the price! If you like to be at the very centre of things and don't mind the discomforts of that, this is a good spot

The central location was very noisy with restaurants immediately below and along the whole street, which was not indicated in the brief. The extremely loud noise went on until after 2 am. I was in the front bedroom and had to use earplugs to sleep. If this proximity to a major entertainment thoroughfare had been mentioned we would have chosen a quieter location. Otherwise, the already very small balcony had not been properly cleaned and was partly unusable because of the bird droppings. The cleaning team should have noticed this as some seemed quite old. One of the bedrooms has no natural light and was stuffy. Only one bedroom had additional bedding and I had to cover the supplied linen with a shawl of my own as the nights are getting cooler and a sheet is not enough. The bathroom door lock was broken. The supplied crockery etc. was adequate but e.g. wine glasses were clean but so well used they were practically opaque. Parking is difficult and the location makes it hard to even stop to drop off bags. Picking up the keys in one location and then having to find the apartment is a bind as is the reverse on leaving them back.
