The location is utterly stunning, perfect. Panoramic views of Borrowdale Valley, with walks from the doorstep. A fabulous cafe in the village was a great surprise find.

We arrived in 29degree heat to find an AGA permanently on! I’m sure it’s wonderful in the winter but it made the heat in the house even more unbearable. No fans available. We tried turning it off and had to eat out every night because it was just too hot. I pointed this out to staff who simply replied it needed to stay on to cook on (it doesn’t take a genius to work that out) as no other cooker. Cheap for the homeowner but means I wouldn’t book the house again in the summer. The blinds also let in light from 3am, no curtains, this could easily be rectified and make a summer stay much better.

The location and size of the property was fantastic and the amenities within were absolutely stellar. It has been the best experience I've had in all my many times staying in the Lake District. The bathrooms were perfect and clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with whatever equipment we could have ever needed. The living room was cozy and big enough for everyone, the Christmas tree and decorations were a lovely touch. Each of the bedrooms were so cozy.

The fridge was a little small for the 8 possible people who can stay but that's just a nitpic. Some extra towels in the wardrobes of the rooms would have been nice. The description of the key safe location for the front door should just add that it's the one in the recess of the window as there is an additional key safe round the back of the foyer.
