Discover the hidden gem that is the village of Grange, located just 1 mile from the south of the impressive Derwentwater and with the ever-popular town of Keswick just 5 miles away. Wake up each morning to the sight of glorious mountains and begin walking from your very front door, discovering the peaks of Dale Head (5 miles) and Robinson (6.5 miles) close by. Those eager to tackle the Lake District’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike, will find the mountain a handy 9 miles away – the perfect hike for experienced mountaineers. Alternatively, those who prefer a more relaxing stay in the Cumbrian countryside can venture to Keswick for tourist attractions, an independent cinema and lakeside theatre, or jump in the car to visit the popular town of Windermere (18 miles).
Boasting a contemporary décor throughout, it’s clear to see that this property has been decorated with a true eye for style. Step inside the porch and leave your outdoor gear before entering the hall which has a handy WC. The hub of this home is its open plan living/dining area, a generous space that’s kept cosy thanks to a wood burner in a stylish slate fireplace. Three sofas ensure everyone has space to relax on an evening, whilst Smart TV offers plenty in the way of entertainment. Completing this room is a generous dining table with far-reaching views to be enjoyed over meals. Whoever gets tasked with preparing meals will have use of an Aga, dishwasher and microwave, as well as a handy wine fridge and washer/dryer. Two of the four bedrooms are on the ground floor as well as a family bathroom with WC and shower over bath and a rear porch that leads out to the garden. The first of these bedrooms is a king-size with views towards Skiddaw and the second a twin room (that can be made into a super king on request) with views to Castle Crag and the Borrowdale fells. Head upstairs to two further bedrooms which boast far-reaching mountain views from their elevated windows. There's a king-size and another twin that can be made into a super-king-size on request. Finally, a bathroom room with WC and shower completes the property.
As impressive outside as it is inside, an enclosed garden with mature flora and a bench for relaxing has views down the valley to Keswick. The grounds also boast a further garden with patio furniture and a stream running through. Finally, a lockable garage is available and is perfect for storing bikes or sports equipment.
