Don't miss this GEM appartment in Leiden

Number 8 is indeed quirky, as other quests have described it - in a very lovely way. We enjoyed the spacious apartment, with every need catered for. We have never been so spoilt with not only welcoming wine on ice and treats, but also a fridge packed with fresh foods and fruits... more than we would ever need. The hospitality, generosity and kindness of Jochem exceeded our expectations. He was available and attentive on whatsapp throughout our stay. Thank you Jochem, you made our stay in Leiden even more spectacular than the beautiful town itself.

Central, comfortable, eclectic.

Central, quiet, and clean. Helpful, cooperative host, who contacted several times to ensure we got in safely, and who even swapped purchased breads for the gluten-free alternatives we needed. Fridge stocked with fruit, cheeses, and drinks. Well equipped for cooking, which we did because of dietary restrictions. Comfortable bed. Quirky, eclectic décor - a talking point! Interesting collection of old maps and photos of Leiden.Two "upstairs" Dutch bikes included - a nice touch.

Minor notes only: entrance steps area is a little uneven and needs more lighting, toilet and basin area are of restricted size, bedroom and bathing area lighting is very soft/atmospheric (which is nice) with no option to increase (which would be welcome). The bikes didn't have a means of adjustment of saddle height. I'm sure we could have asked our obliging host, though! These are small things only and didn't detract from a comfortable stay.

Perfect stay in a quirky & comfy place

Jochan is far most attentive and caring host I have ever came accross! He is super pleasent, friendly and helpful, and made our stay exceptional with all the little touches. The place itself is perfect for a couple. Very unusual and quirky decor, with all you need for a comfortable stay. Very comfy, large bed, spacious living room, well equipped kitchen and a super shower. Bikes on permises and cute patio area with a fireplace are an added bonus. Number 8 is centrally located, ideal for exploring Leiden on either foot or bike and at the same time it's super quiet at night as it's in a very peaceful cul de sac.

Quiet and convenient location. Decor is unique. Roomy space, comfy bed, nice to have secure patio space. Joaquin is very responsive.

The patio area is a work in progress, but will be great when finished.

You get hosts, then very good hosts and then you get Jochem. This was our best experience ever.

The little key safe at the door worked very well. Jochem was also at hand to ensure that we are well stocked, and the kitchen and fridge was exceptionally well stocked. We asked for cheese, and he gave us excellent cheese. We had a few enquiries regarding places to go or where to eat, and he assisted with a huge smile.

Cosy fairytale

I liked verything about the property! Very comfy, functional and fairytale like ♡ Outdoor patio was charming. I was with my daughter and she was just mesmerized. We really enjoyed our stay and were warmly welcomed by our host who thought about all the little things we could need. Would come back and definitelly reccomend ♡

Deze plek! Wat een parel! Echt onze mond viel open toen we binnenkwamen. Zo gezellig en romantisch! Ook met de host verliep het contact heel soepel. Wij komen zeker terug!

Schön, aber mit abstellbaren Mängeln.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und gemütlich ausgestattet.

Es hat uns nicht gefallen, dass das Waschbecken in der Toilette nur tröpfchenweise Wasser abgab. Wir mussten daher im Spülbecken der Küche die Zähne putzen und die Hände waschen. Im Wohnbereich tropfte aus dem Dachfenster das Regenwasser. Der Vorgarten befand sich viel altes Holz, Teile von Straßenlaternen, und Installationsmaterial. Eine Benutzung als Sitzplatz schied aus. Wir konnten den Vorgarten wegen des schlechten Wetters allerdings ohnehin nicht benutzen, so dass es uns tatsächlich nicht beeinträchtigt hat.
