Stunning sunsets and views.

You really can't beat the views at this location! The sunset each night over the boats was stunning. The place was clean, with lots of room to spread out (we are a family of 3). The bathroom was large and the shower had good pressure. The beds were comfy, even the sofa bed! It was nice to have access to a roof top patio and we couldn't hear the neighbours at all. You could not hear the restaurant downstairs either (the loudest part being when they put the furniture away at night). We kept the windows open during our stay and it was just a nice quiet chatter of friendly conversation from below. It was far enough away from downtown that the neighbourhood seemed quiet, but close enough to walk to everything!

This was a bare bones apartment. It could have used some throw blankets, pillows and another seating option in the living room to make it feel more cozy. As well, the stairs are very steep (no elevator). This was not an issue, just be forewarned. Having said that, I would absolutely stay here again! We loved it.

All-in-all the stay was quite O.K.

Undoubtfully the location is exceptional - just outside the city center, so only some hundreds of meters to get in the center, still far from the big hassle. The view onto the small harbor is also great

The cleanliness could be enhanced a lot and the water was difficult to drain from both the sink and the shower.

We loved the place, especially the beautiful views from the large windows overlooking the harbor.

Location, views, washer, comfortable bed.

There were several plastic cutting boards, but they looked very old, and we didn’t feel comfortable cutting fruit or vegetables on them because it seemed like the plastic wood. Come off as well. Really need to replace the cutting boards, preferably with a wooden one. Also, only two regular and two decaf. coffee pods were provided along with a coupon for twi coffees downstairs. I think that two of each type of coffee multiplied by the number of nights reserved is more appropriate given the price point of the apartment and a relatively small increase in cost for management. We stayed for four nights, and one of us drinks, regular coffee and the other decaf, so it’s not practical for us to buy large boxes of two types of coffee pods as we would not use them all during our stay. Finally, the bathroom sink was draining very slowly, and I think the pipe needs to be cleaned out.

3E. The patio although was good particularly as it was very hot unfortunately people had left cigarette ends everywhere and could do with a good clean as did the communal stairs. The apartment was v clean. The windows at the front would not open and the main room was 29 degrees and the fan was not sufficient to cool down. The windows need to maintained so that you can open them in hot conditions. Only the side window opened. The sink in the bathroom needs unblocking as v slow to empty.

It's in a beautiful location, right on the water, close to restaurants and shopping. The apartment is modern, spacious, bright, clean, and overall beautiful. The kitchen is fully equipped.

The stair leading up to the apartment was very steep and difficult for my mother to get up and down. The stair was also dimly lit, which makes it even more dangerous. We were only provided 2 rolls of toilet paper for 3 people/3 days. There was no paper towel in the kitchen. We had to buy some extra supplies at the market. For the value of the apartment, the host could provide a little more amenities.

It was very noisy (street noise and restaurant below [which is great with lovely staff]) at night. Ok once we had ear plugs but we struggled to sell much the first night without.

The location is astonishing, apartments were really nice with a great terrace, really easy walk to the city centre. Apartments were nicely decorated, and the view of the little port is the highlight.

Check-in was seamless. The instructions from the host were clear and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The apartment itself was fantastic... comfortable, clean, but the highlight was definitely the deck overlooking the canal. It was the perfect spot for morning coffee or winding down in the evening, watching boats drift by. The restaurant just downstairs was a gem. Great food, friendly service, and incredibly convenient after a long day exploring. You really can’t beat the location.

Not a complaint, but for awareness: I rang the wrong doorbell on the side street, not realizing our door was less than a meter from the restaurant entrance.

The location was amazing. The views were fantastic. The balcony was so relaxing to sit in and watch the boats go by.

I didn't like that there were only 2 toilet paper rolls. We had to buy more of course. I didn't like that the only garbage bag was a shopping bag. I was not going to buy garbage bags on my vacation.

The location and views are beautiful, looking out over the canal and harbour in the East of Leiden. The building is interesting and has a lot of character. We ended up downstairs in the restaurant and bar on a few evenings, great food and drinks, although quite expensive. The apartment was sufficient for our family of four, and is updated, very high ceilings and huge windows looking out over the harbour. We were out a lot so just used the apartment as a place to sleep. We booked the one bedroom apartment and so my husband and I slept on the sofa bed, which was not very comfortable, compared to our bed at home, but it was okay. We were able to log in to our Netflix account and watch a couple of movies in the evening, once the kids were in bed. It took us a couple of days to work out that the oven is actually a combination oven/microwave oven. It would be helpful if you provided a folder to explain this. Very steep and narrow stairs to get up to the first floor. We managed fine with this, but I think some unfit people may struggle. When we arrived, it was a very sunny warm afternoon and the blinds were all open, so the temperature in the apartment was 38 degrees centigrade and we couldn’t open the windows. So keep the blinds closed on sunny afternoons. We managed to work out how to open one window in the kitchen by about half a foot, but it took two of us to open it, very heavy old windows.

Beautiful accommodation, for a great start to our new journey in The Netherlands!

The property perfectly suited our needs on our arrival in the Netherlands. We could easily get to public transport hubs. The city centre was a comfortable walking distance, and quick access to grocery stores as well as restaurants. The unit was larger than we expected - the pictures and description alluded to it being an open plan kitchen and lounges area, and smaller. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the accommodation. It is tastefully decorated and modern. Our teens comfortably shared the sleeper couch bed, which was also a good size!

Would have preferred better lighting in the bathroom - we may have missed this, but it was rather dim. The bathroom was otherwise great! Not that this can be changed, and it is the norm in The Netherlands, but wow! the stairs are steep :) Not my favourite, but not the owners fault :)

The location is superb and a very good spot to launch your exploration of Leiden.

The location is excellent and the restaurant underneath is an added bonus, although it pays to book if you wish to eat there. Our room in the loft was delightful and very spacious.

A warning of how steep and narrow the stairs are would be good. A repeated request for an early checkin, then a request just to leave our bags, was continually denied despite the instructions and the digital app saying it was possible! Please get this sorted out as I heard a guest the following afternoon was allowed an early checkin! Only one key per apartment is issued and can become a real issue if a couple is involved in separate activities. I would suggest two per apartment as is usual in most accommodation. Communication with the property was not always prompt.

It would have been nice to have instructions for using the washing machine. I wasn't exactly sure where to put the pod. One of us used the fold out couch in the living room and it was quite loud there due to the bar/restaurant just under the window.

The most gorgeous stay in Leiden!

The location in Leiden is honestly just beautiful! We didn’t expect it to be on a harbour, and it was the perfect morning watch whilst having a cuppa! The fact there is the most gorgeous restaurant and bar downstairs that overlooks the harbour is just perfect makes you feel like your on a proper holiday especially when the suns out.

As we went to surprise a relative, we would of loved for her to come around to our apartment too, however there was no way she would of been able to climb the stairs as they are very steep. But for a normal person without any difficulties climbing stairs don’t let that put you off, but for her it was a definite no. Wouldn’t put us off staying again, but if you suffer with knee pain or anything I would think about the stairs.

A great family experience in beautiful Leiden and thankfully the accommodation was fine.

Excellent location on the harbour with perfect cafe for breakfast or dinner or drinks below. Just a relief after reading some dreadful reviews to find it clean and comfortable.

The communication is very abrupt and unfriendly with a long list of rules. Charging extra if you arrive after 17.30 is a little excessive. For the cost expecting us to strip beds etc is also a little unnecessary. Moved on to a numa property in Berlin and the contrast in terms of friendliness in instructions and virtual welcome was like chalk and cheese. It costs nothing to make us feel welcome rather than potential transgressors.

Stunning building in a beautiful part of Leiden. Apartment 3C has huge windows which frame the canal views on three sides . Great restaurant/bar below. Very clean, the linen was super comfortable. Very peaceful but also very convenient for all the attractions of Leiden

Lovely apartment in a great location.

Great Location, good restaurant below property, comfy beds and sofa bed which was easy to set up and voucher for free coffee. Loved the balcony overlooking the river but be aware it is shared with other apartments.

Didn’t like having to show passport to camera for entry through outer door as there was no verbal feedback. Relieved when door opened but entry to actual flat was easy with key from key box which also operated outer door. You must read the v detailed instructions which you get in advance to gain entry. Also very narrow time slot for arrival. You have to pay extra to arrive at other times.

This is a wonderful apartment, ideal for a small family or couple, in a very romantic part of Leiden

Wonderful location above a quaint restaurant on a scenic bend in the canal, with a shared terrace overlooking a park.

There weren't enough cleaning supplies, including garbage bags. Hosts only provided one dishwasher tablet, and only one roll of toilet paper. It felt a little like they were skimping.

Cosy apartment with a beautiful view

I staid in a loft for 3 nights. I liked the most the beautiful location and the view from the bedroom to the canal, nice restaurant and cafe downstairs. I also appreciated the cleanness of the space.

The apartment has a little kitchen and a large dinning table so we cooked one evening, some basic supplies like salt, pepper, oil, etc would help in the future.

they wanted to charge extra money for everything…€10 for every hour you were late from the 1.5hr checkin window. Also we asked for more toilet paper (only 1 roll per stay - we stayed a week) and was told it would be €60 to bring in someone…we wound up having to buy our own toilet paper….there’s cheap, and then there’s ridiculous
