The location is perfect, right in Dotonbori, with endless eating options, easily walkable and close to trains. The size of the apartment is incredible and perfect for a family. It has two separate sleeping areas, one a bedroom and the other a seperate sleeping area off the living area (no doors). The building and area felt safe and family friiendly. Communication was good.
The couch was very uncomfortable, on the ground and we couldnt really use it. So if a couch is important, this may not suit. There are two flights of steep, narrow stairs, so you need to be able to manage your luggage up these. While there is a separate toilet and shower, there is no bathroom as such, so no vanity or place to put toiletries. If space and location are your priorities, this is a great option if you get it at a good price, however it is not luxury.

Location was good, close to train station and can walk to many attractions.
No hot water, toilet flushed only sometimes, dirty linen, no coffee cups. Not suited to young families.
